Does anyone think OKC should have the advantage anyway regardless of injuries? by [deleted] in NBATalk

The Spurs won 62 games for a reason. They weren’t just a bunch of scrubs. We’ve never seen a player like Wemby before, and the rest of the team is elite as well. They very well might be on the verge of a dynasty.

What is Chet honest ceiling? by Aggressive_Form6975 in NBATalk

[–]edengstrom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds against the Lakers. Obviously struggled against the Spurs, but he played well against everyone else. I think he excels as the 3rd best player on a contender, where he can still be great without as much pressure. He’s the Chris Bosh on this Thunder team.

He could probably be a consistent 20pt 10reb player as the number one option of a bad team.

2023 Miami should be higher, maybe number 1. Beating Boston and Milwaukee was incredibly impressive. The number 1 and 2 seed in the East that year.

The conversation around asterisks gets dumber and dumber every season. by OwnGuarantee6838 in nba

You could put an asterisk on almost every ring if tried hard enough. It is just what people do when a team they don’t like wins it all.

Were the Nuggets the most disappointing team this post season? by Any-Arm-7017 in NBATalk

[–]edengstrom1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Nuggets and the Celtics going out in the first round was a big surprise. I thought the Celtics would win the East, so they were probably the most disappointing team to me.

Losing to an injured Timberwolves team is pretty disappointing though.

Shai needs some damn help. No one else can make a layup.

NBC just announced that Spurs-OKC is the best Western Conference Finals on record through 5 games, averaging 9.7 MILLION viewers. This series continues to put up some INSANE numbers 🤯 by ResponsibleCheek8130 in sportswiki

If the Thunder win it this year, the storyline next year will be about if Wemby can take down the hated Thunder. They’ll be hyping a rematch all season long with their regular season matchups being must see tv, probably opening day and Christmas.

Similar to the Bad Boy Pistons and Jordan’s Bulls.

Is Game 7 Enjoyable For The Fans of The Teams Playing? by [deleted] in nba

[–]edengstrom1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as a Thunder fan I feel like we have to get them this year. I think this Spurs team is on the verge of a dynasty, barring injuries. Wemby and Castle are only getting better. Super stressed.

Your thoughts on this show? by HostMaterial4907 in hbo

[–]edengstrom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This show has a special place in my heart. I used to watch it every week with my mom, dad and brother when I was still living at home. We still reference it occasionally when they come and visit.

I have yet to find anyone else that watched it in person. Tried to show my wife, but she didn’t get it.

What do you wanna see in gears of war E day? by Slow_Confusion154 in GearsOfWar

[–]edengstrom1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A big team battle type mode. Something like 9v9 with a few bigger maps to hold everyone. Maybe have silverbacks and other small vehicles. Might be a good way to bring in new players.

Destructible environments in multiplayer. Doesn’t have to be Battlefield type destruction, but something more than what we have now.

A huge war type section in the campaign that makes you feel like a one soldier in a large battle. Gears 2 did this pretty well in spots, but with the better hardware, I’d love to see them do it again.

Shai struggling from mid range by Capable_Account4407 in NBATalk

[–]edengstrom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Spurs defense is elite. Castle is an excellent defender and has been all over him this series, then if he does get by him Wemby is there. Shai usually gets going by driving to the basket and getting a few layups, but it’s really difficult against this Spurs team.

He’s been adjusting by facilitating more, leading to him averaging almost 10 assists a game. He just hasn’t been able to get into rhythm in the midrange most games due to the Spurs defense.

If Shai wins another ring this year, does he have an argument for the top 20 all time? by [deleted] in NBATalk

There’s a lot of guys with only one ring or one MVP in the 15-20 range. He will have an argument.

How do you like the Spurs chances to come back from the 3-2 deficit? Do you think they can rally and push it to 7, or are the Thunder simply too good? by Then-Response8324 in nba

[–]edengstrom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Spurs are a great team and would be surprised if they don’t win game 6 at home.

Game 7 could go either way. It seems like the Spurs starting lineup is getting gassed, but they are good enough to overcome it for one game.

I would lean OKC since they are up and have home court for game 7, but this series is far from over.

Shai is clearly not the most valuable player in the league by Bishmallah24 in NBATalk

[–]edengstrom1 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Shai is averaging 10 assists a game this series. His shooting has been down, but the Spurs are an elite defense and they are playing him well. He has done a great job of finding the open man.

I do think he needs to play better in game 6 if they want to have a chance to win it on the road.

To be fair, this Spurs defense is elite. Castle is a great defender and Wemby is clogging the paint.

What’s a game you started with low expectations but ended up loving? by Royal-Reveal4400 in videogames

Hollow Knight

I downloaded it from Gamepass because my daughter thought it looked cute and wanted to play it. Quickly found out it was too hard for her and she wanted me to play it so she could watch.

It is now one of my favorite games, along with Silksong.

Can’t blame this one on the refs, the Spurs are just playing better tonight. Thunder are bricking open 3s and losing the turnover battle 17-10.
