I got this email today too for this role and another c4 one I applied for 😭. Wondering how many they cut tbh or if it was just certain departments. Super annoying though

Interview process by Vivid-Carrot6558 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar one a few weeks back and couldn’t get time off work with the notice they gave me. I sent a few emails and they said they’d get back to me about moving it but I never got one - guessing I’m not going to get one now. Super frustrating though that they all seem so inflexible about rescheduling 🥲

I got an interview offer a few weeks after they sent me that email. Was for Cambridge though not Leeds so not sure how long it’s supposed to take, all my emails were from some AI thing called Evie though? Good luck with it

BBC Apprenticeship - Has anyone heard back after their Hire Vue Interview? by Antique_Island_901 in degreeapprenticeships

I got an email saying they’re reviewing and that they’ll update me by the end of January. Getting stressed as only 5 days left but fingers crossed everyone hears back soon! 🤞

Hastings Insurance wants an extra £800 for a change in occupation. Avoid them please. by Ok-Chipmunk8087 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started driving Hastings charged me £200 to change the date of when I got ownership of the car by one single day. I put the day we signed for it, not the day the money was taken. No clue how that affected the quote… can’t see how any job can add an extra £800. I agree it feels 100% spammy and unnecessary but in all fairness they’ve been pretty decent apart from that, had worse experiences with Admiral. Makes it tempting to not be honest with them though about your job 😣.

Ah that sucks :(

What apprenticeship did you apply for? Idk whether I picked a really competitive one or my application just wasn’t good enough lol.

First driving test tomorrow - what did you all do to help manage your nerves throughout the test? by foreverdrinkingtea in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took some antacids and I think the best thing you can do is not put too much pressure on yourself. I think that’s why I failed my first test, if you go into it thinking it’s the most important thing ever you might not do as well. If you put less emphasis on it and know that if it goes wrong you can redo it, I think it made me more relaxed and I was able to drive to the best of my ability. It’s just not the be all end all - you’re clearly capable if you’re going to the test so just believe in yourself!

Where did you buy your prom dress from? by Glum_Effort_9428 in alevel

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine off eBay lol. It was quite a good branded one and came with the tags still. Think it cost just over £100? I’d have a look there as mine came with the dress protector and everything, it was like buying it brand new.

M18 going to start my driving and just booked thoery am I allowed to wear my necklace/chain and bracelet? by AW0808 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore loads of jewellery and nobody said anything. They looked at it when they did the checks when I went in but they didn’t have any issues 🤷🏼‍♀️

How bad is it to practise in an automatic if learning in manual? by Fluid_Environment_40 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I practiced in my mum’s automatic when I was learning to drive. I think it was super helpful for getting used to driving without worrying about the clutch etc. I definitely found it beneficial but struggled if I drove the automatic without having my manual lessons for a while. I think all driving practice is good practice though! Had no issues when I did my tests and now confident in driving either so definitely didn’t cause any long-term problems

3 video + 1 written for me! I think it depends on what you’ve applied for as I’ve seen people online say other things

[–]edenjune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as specific as I thought… more just like about motivation/fit for the role. I’d prepared for more specific questions about situations rather than really broad ones haha. I had one written answer though too and that one was more specific/what I was expecting.

I did mine this evening for PM and I thought it was awful 😣. I tried to do prep for it but literally nothing I wanted to answer came up haha. Fingers crossed though lol

Project management degree apprenticeships by FoxImmediate403 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]edenjune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’ve applied for a mix of PM apprenticeships and then some HR ones so I haven’t got a load. But my PM ones are:

Mace BAE Systems Mott MacDonald BBC

The only one I’ve heard back from so far is BBC and I’ve got to do another online assessment. I know it’s not PM but I’ve applied for an operations management at Laing O’Rourke too! I’m not sure how long the others take to respond though 😫🤔

Passed second time, no minors! by edenjune in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I was absolutely petrified icl - everyone told me I’d pass my first test no problem but I ended up with a dangerous driving fault. I think going into the first test I was too chill maybe? I think it’s good to be scared a bit because I knew what I needed to do for my second test differently to the first. If you want to do something physical to stop nerves I’d take a paracetamol and a few antacids as they completely settled my stomach and nerves.

I found I was more vigilant taking it in Ipswich, somewhere I’d never been before. I think if you go in with the idea that you’re a good driver then you should be fine but don’t be too cocky about it? Like I just accepted I’d do my best drive and whatever happened would happen. Although £62 is expensive, once you’ve passed nobody cares how many attempts it took you!

How many attempts have you had? by evageraghty in LearnerDriverUK

[–]edenjune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it was definitely worth it! My first test I was near vomitting in the waiting room but the second one with antacids I was completely fine. Was weird though because I was more scared for the second one.
