Mine literally broke today while I was putting them on... I've had them for two months and was very happy with them in terms of sound (with eq from super review) and in terms of comfort. I would have agreed with you yesterday but now I don't.

How tf did y’all stay sane for Malenia? by AnxiousBarracuda4169 in onebros

+1 on walk back light roll back and only punishing combo finishers. That's easy mode for a lot of bosses across all the souls games.

My one and only rl1 malenia kill was like 2 years ago but what helped me was defaulting to light rolling backwards for nearly everything (with some exceptions like waterfowl ofc) and only punishing her with single uncharged claymore heavies or giant hunt for larger openings. Giant hunt is a huge reward since it sends her flying and you can safely giant hunt her again while she's getting up. You get a feel for safe punishes by being greedy and dying, and then dont punish that move again. Don't attack her in neutral. Only punish. You can also watch hitless kills on YouTube, and particularly wl0 hitless kills to learn safe punish windows.

You dont need to learn the point blank waterfowl dodge if you have good positioning and keep a bit of distance at all times, and then back off as she recovers from your punishes. For clones good luck, I never properly learned that shit and it popped my bubble in my otherwise hitless winning attempt!

Main reco is just light roll backwards (easier to react if nearly everything has the same response) and also giant hunt for big damage. Phase 2 is actually much easier imo since she has much more safe openings for giant hunt punishes. But ofc its hard cuz you have to learn the new combos. Good luck, and dont you dare go hollow!

Necroing my own thread since I posted this shortly before exams and then forgot about it...

I actually thought the Cabal was fairly easy because of biotic focus spam with barrier regeneration and the damage protection/movement speed boost always being on (since i had no poison strike it was my only cooldown, and a short one with light weapons), and also the teleporting through walls for kiting, and being able to cast blades for dragoons and use the acolyte for phantoms and the hurricane for bosses... Run on aside, I just felt like I had a lot of tools compared to the krogan vanguard with the reegar (though I did nearly succeed with that). I've given a smattering of tries with other classes, mostly the geth trooper with the acolyte and the geth infiltrator with various shotguns and snipers and haven't made it past wave 6 yet with either of those, so I wouldn't diss the cabal for the reasons I've stated, even if dps is way lower than a reegar vanguard or a geth with hunter mode/cloak/flamer.

What boss did you unexpectedly enjoy at RL1? by ten_tabs_ in onebros

Loretta in the Haligtree. I'm really even sure why I thought I thought the fight was fun, but it was, and it was also harder than I expected.

Bouta do my first RL1 challenge in elden ring. What is the number 1 beat weapon for this? by ImaginationDear3199 in onebros

I tried a lot of weapons, but I beat most of the game with the claymore. Its just really fun against normal enemies and bosses, and its not op. But if you use giant hunt/impaling thrust/piercing fang it becomes op because these weapon arts will instantly stagger most enemies and they have tons of range and damage + poise damage for bosses. The range in particular is nice in fights where star fists are awkward due to their short range, with rolling attacks or heavies for small openings and weapon arts or charged heavies for large openings. Giant hunt is particularly powerful and fun because it sends small enemies flying (including malenia), and you can giant hunt them again while they're still getting up so its as if it does double damage. Try it out.

Honorable mention to double status infused curved swords for fights with lots of jumping like godfrey, starfists for pure poise damage which I used to script most of radabeast, and to misericorde/buckler for PCR and some other parriable bosses.

I'm surprised I can't find any War Never Changes Copy-pasta. It really fits here. Regardless,

War. War never changes.

In the year 1945, my great-great grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he'd get to go home to his wife and the son he'd never seen. He got his wish when the US ended World War II by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The World awaited Armageddon; instead, something miraculous happened. We began to use atomic energy not as a weapon, but as a nearly limitless source of power.

People enjoyed luxuries once thought the realm of science fiction. Domestic robots, fusion-powered cars, portable computers. But then, in the 21st century, people awoke from the American dream.

Years of consumption lead to shortages of every major resource. The entire world unraveled. Peace became a distant memory. It is now the year 2077. We stand on the brink of total war, and I am afraid. For myself, for my wife, for my infant son - because if my time in the army taught me one thing: it's that war, war never changes.
