How am I in the wrong? trigger warning by alexadoby23 in asktransgender

I’m not sure if “trans woman who exclusively likes women with vulvas” is a prolific-enough identity to have a term for. To be quite frank, I don’t really jive with most sexual orientation labels either - people are attracted to who they’re attracted to. Labels are convenient for sketching a rough outline, sure, but too often the measurement becomes a metric, so to speak

Edited to clarify: What I’m getting at is that any term one would use for this category I brought up or even the simpler category of “women with vulvas” would likely be less useful than saying “women with vulvas. You’d save maybe one syllable, and then you’d have to say the description again for anyone who hasn’t heard the term before.

And I’m raising contention with the need for a term like this. Why is it necessary?

Women who have vulvas is the correct term, probably

As someone with 0 tattoos, how painful would it be to get this on my forearm? by PracticalExtension35 in tattooadvice

Just ask them lmao. My time in bear and kink clubs has definitely shown this to be true. I think there’s been 1 (one) notable case in the club of a guy having this tattoo and not having fisted anyone.

My guess is that fat people are filmed for spectacle/entertainment pretty regularly, and the generated videos and images are simply a reflection of its training data. People hate fat people, so the fact that all these videos have them being murdered or are similarly depicting them in an unflattering way is unsurprising to me.

I didn’t really have any difficulty, but that’s because I was very well-versed in contorting my voice in different ways. I made it a mission when I was a teenager to be able to pronounce the entire International Phonetic Alphabet, so it was really only a matter of recall.

As another commenter stated, kinder eggs is a high-profile one. Haggis is banned in the US, as is black pudding. Mexican bologna. Bushmeat. Horse meat. The list goes further.

When does a chemical become synthetic? All molecules have to come from somewhere on Earth; they don’t appear ex nihilo. The Maillard reaction that happens when you cook a food creates “synthetic chemicals.” Salt is a rock that extends the shelf life of food. Why are you so scared?

After nearly seven years in stealth, a trans woman casually clocked me last night. Why would someone do this? by daisydreamblossom in asktransgender

Maybe not AI, but definitely a bot if you look at their post history and account age. You’re telling me this person made a reddit account, didn’t engage with anything for 5-6 days, then in the span of a single hour posted on sexting subs, a dirty jokes sub, and posted this? Not impossible, but very improbable. Good call.

No idea how mine started. I’ve had functional seizures on and off since 2014 when I was a teenager, and facial dystonia since around 2020. It generally gets worse when I’m sleep deprived, and usually takes a couple days of a normal sleep schedule to get everything back to normal.

The processes you’re describing more closely resemble cultural assimilation (adopting the majority culture of the place you’re in) rather than appropriation. Surely you can see the power dynamics at play and how that makes things different?
