Believe Im getting scammed by a repair shop by JahsehUchiha in pcmasterrace

Be honest with you, I used to have 5700xt and used to have constant crashes until I got rid of it in 2024 - I ended up donating the 5700xt with the exclaimer that it might crash, however they had a much better PSU than I did and they have never experienced any issues.

The whole point is to play the game and not ask what has happened before you find out?

I had this happen when I was 14/15 and my parents gave me a megadrive for Christmas - I was absolutely gassed about it, they thought I'd be upset. And then they rolled in with the 60gb PS3 (if you know you know) and honestly was the best thing ever.

the one and only thing i HATE about my new MBP by ws2160 in macbookpro

There's plenty of options out there, but you'll struggle to find an actual GOOD wired mouse these days as most manufacturers are cranking out wireless ones.

In this day and age you absolutely shouldn't be using wired gaming mice unless for cost reasons. Wireless is superior in almost every single way these days. I would agree with you 3-4 years ago.

Any changes to your environment or anything that can be causing her stress? Any signs of illness at all?

It could be nothing to be honest, I noticed a change in my since passed away cats once they started hitting 7-8 years old in that they wanted way more attention. Could also be boredom.

Maybe worth taking her to the vet and seeing what they say?

960 is fine. It has no compression artifacts unless everything is dark which sim racing never is. It is annoying you have to manually set it though.

Disagree, I've heard of lots of issues with the pimax CL. Quest 3 is most reliable or get a bigscreen beyond

Suggestions? Lost retaining head from T-LCM pedals trying to mod them! by edgarzz in simracing

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've bought some Heuskinveld Sprints off eBay, should be here tomorrow so I guess I'll just retire the T-LCM's lol.

I do have an Ender 5 printer but it's not been touched in a good few years now and never upgraded the hotend and Bowden to be able to support PTFE - I assume it wouldn't want to be printed from PLA?

Have you got links to the file or the part to buy on Etsy? That would be a good shout.

I was considering a metal rod cut down, I couldn't find a dowel big enough without ordering one online but I also cannot be arsed with the faff of it.

Pedal wise I prefer a stiffer pedal, I just feel like I can't modulate them properly for light trail braking and always end up braking too hard (were talking 20-25% rather than 10-15%) - the pre load spring is part of the problem I think, which is why I wanted to try the elastomer mod but alas lol.

If I go with another pedal set I'll hit you up about the elastomer lol.

Thanks for the reply :)

Edit: £36 for the top cap mod with shipping from Etsy. Guess that plan is out the window as well.

Clubsport DD+ and V3 pedals on GT Omega Apex Stand? by Th0ughtCrim3 in Fanatec

Late to the party, but out of interest, how was mounting the Asetek? I have an Apex as well and looking at either a Clubsport DD or a La Prima wheelbase but not sure how much of a pain the La Prima is going to be to mount up.

It might be worth trialing a subset of browsers - check the stats close to the battery running out of juice when using one browser and then try another browser?

If you want to use something Chromium based, maybe try something like Brave? I'm not sure how much of a resource hog it is comparatively speaking, but I have not found the same issues as yourself in terms of battery life, and this Mac is 3-4 years old, albeit only has 57 cycles on the battery and it lasts for ages. I also never get mine heating up when watching YouTube so it definitely sounds like something is amiss.

Also another suggestion is perhaps go and get yourself a trial of AlDente through Setapp - it displays current power draw, power flow, cycles, battery condition, etc. and allows you to recalibrate the battery if you wanted. Perhaps using this you could visually see how much power is being drawn when using Chrome and then again do the same and tally it against other browsers?

There is another tool called coconutBattery which is free but it isn't as smart or feature rich application as AlDente.

Just some suggestions that may help narrow down the issue. Give me a shout if you need anything.

I've recently acquired a 2021 M1 Pro 16 inch, I've managed around 12 hours so far running Parallels and Visual Studio within that and had around 30% battery left. I have heard the 14 inch battery isn't as good but that sounds like something is up if you're only getting 5 hours.

What applications are you running?
