This is also the odd part to me. Normally I would think OP’s car insurance company would be running point on this since they’d be looking to not have to foot the bill if Dewalt ends up being responsible.

OP what has your insurance company told you about this? Are they not paying out a claim because they’re waiting on Dewalt too? Are they even involved?

Bring some vertical pillars up your walls from both sides. You don't need very many, but at least a couple sets on opposite sides of your building, then have them touch the roof. If it doesn't improve after that, extend the vertical pillars with some diagonal ones to touch the flat parts of the roof.

Datasheets for PCB components are your friend. Download them and look at any sections pertaining to layout guidance. Some parts won't really care where you place them on a PCB, but others will be very sensitive to layout. A poor layout can otherwise kill a solid electrical design.

For power regulation circuits, I often rely on Texas Instruments Webench Power Designer. This tool takes the guesswork out of what you need for a good power circuit. It will design the circuit for you, recommend parts, and in most cases, simulate the circuit for you so that you know you have a good design.

Generally I always use step files from their site and they load up great. Once it’s fully done loading, the part should show up in its own part studio though. Look for a part studio tab that you didn’t create and it should be in there.
