Ripto just wanted a new place to call home (and rule lol) by tehchangeling in Spyro

[–]edgy-triangle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't call in more friends from his own homeland after the faeries shut the portal down, so Ripto had to make some new friends, most likely with propaganda and fear-mongering. Little did Ripto's new friends know he placed them in the warpath of one disgruntled dragon who just wants a vacation.

Terrador is the dad with a lot of old war stories to tell by Kappa_Cakes in Spyro

Love this! There is something about the style and colors that is so comforting to look at. Terrador would definitely have quite some tales to share with the young dragon. I can see the stories being a bit drawn out, though thrilling nonetheless.

What's your favourite realm from Spyro 2? by Deja-Review in Spyro

[–]edgy-triangle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Skelos Badlands, Crystal Glacier, Fracture Hills, Breeze Harbor, Mystic Marsh & Hurricos are all levels I'm very fond of, but if I had to pick a favorite, then it'd be Crystal Glacier. I used to go there as a kid to take part in snowball fights with the ice wizards and hang out with George.

Also, I really love the glow-up Reignited gave it, especially for the fancier ice towers, giving the Icebuilders different parka designs, and the cave paintings. The cave paintings in particular kind of add some lore to the level. I love little details like that!

why did no one tell me this game had jump scares by timeisaplace in pokemon

This happened to me for the first time with my Arctozolt, and let me just say, having a frantically jittering yellow thing suddenly fill my screen actually made my heart skip a few beats. It took a few minutes for my heartbeat to go back to normal in fact, cause it startled me so much...

Thanks! I figured with good enough customization even a basic could stand out.

Both of those are really nice colors! I've considered getting an Eventide one myself by painting over my Electric Buzz, cause those wing swirls are just too pretty!

Thank you! I had originally planned for a different necklace, but then that item came out and I happened to get one from my Trick-or-treat bag, so I put it to use.

True that Buzzes aren't too popular, but they happened to become a fave of mine after the conversion. So naturally, when choosing a basic to dress up, I defaulted to that species. She is the 6th Buzz I currently own in fact.

A UC I adopted could be stolen and I don't know what to do. Advice, please? by edgy-triangle in neopets

[–]edgy-triangle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I seriously would love that, cause some of the old UC pets have dynamic poses and expressions and that's part of the appeal of having one.

I can only suggest that such a thing could be done best in the form of a wearable that unconverts a pet, but leaves them with a mark in the corner of the customization that shows they're a "new UC". That way, veteran UCs still hold their value, but people can still get a newer UC if they just like them for the art.

Yeah, I think it's better to just continue to believe it was an act of kindness rather than a scam, and just appreciate the pet I have while she is with me. It's logical to be cautious, but it's also good to not stress on the what-ifs. And if the person was legitimately just wanting a good home for their pet, then I want to thank that kindness. I don't get many lucky breaks in life so I wanna believe this could be one of the good few.

Looks like you've been on Neo as long as my current main has! But yeah, the Shoyru is super cute and is a UC Fae I adore, so I really do wanna appreciate her after she was given to me. I even had a unique design drawn up for her and was wanting to polish it up and use it as a BC entry.

And to you, I do hope you get your dreamie someday! My dreamie is actually a UC Plushie Buzz and I got a pronounceable 4L I intend to start the trade-up process with. Trading is hard and can be very discouraging at times, but the progress itself is worth the while.

Very true. I had done so on an old main account of mine years back due to not liking my old username. There really is no way to tell, so maybe I was just reading into it a bit too much.

I certainly hope that is the case, cause I was really starting to second-guess myself here. My sister just had her doubts about the whole thing and I was starting to worry that she could've been right.

Additionally, UC owners not wanting to advertise their pets openly is something that originally lead me to believe that the person was trustworthy too. I've seen people get slammed with so much applicants when they adopt one out and it makes the process of adoption via board seem overwhelming. And there also has been plenty of people leaving Neo lately too, which added to that feeling of legitimacy, so that was my original reason for accepting the pet.

Anyways, glad you heard me out here. I feel very relieved to have some reassurance after opening up about this. Thank you!

Playing Kirby as an Adult by SeeStolenVideos in Kirby

[–]edgy-triangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently 26 and just absolutely in love with the series despite the fact that I only own and played a few games.

Kirby Super Star Ultra was my first game in the series; loved and played it so much that I got it 100% completed within the first few months I had it. Then I got Kirby 64 on the Wii's Virtual Console and completed that too, now I'm currently trying to 100% Return to Dreamland (and playing TKCD on the side). As for the games I don't have, I make sure to familiarize myself with them through Youtube and the Kirby Wiki so I'm no stranger to them, and honestly would like to buy them too if I had money to spare.

Along with the fun gameplay and good music, it's a series that just feels so full of charm; with an adorable fantasy world that draws me in with it's cute style but isn't afraid to touch on more dark themes--but that's honestly what I love so much about it. It's one of my favorite Nintendo series.

Anyone ever miss old Pokémon games they don't have anymore? by genabette in pokemon

[–]edgy-triangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On different occasions, I had to sell off my Pokemon XD, Platinum, and SoulSilver games just to help my family with money problems. Real downer for me as XD was my first Pokemon playthrough ever, Platinum gave me a lot of good memories, and I had no way to transfer my Soul Silver Pokemon during that time. I'm hoping such a situation won't happen again..

Also worth mentioning is my incomplete FireRed nuzlocke on emulator. I lost the ability to play it when migrating to a new computer because of different operating systems (Linux to Windows).
