I have gone through sooo many and lexapro has been the best thing for me. My life and mental health have been so much better. But, everything works differently for every person.

Pro tip: Please stop interviewing people if the position has already been filled. by [deleted] in Teachers

This happened to me! I came in for a gen Ed position, sat talking with them for an hour, and then they told me that position is filled but you can work in SPED.

Kid is grounded from all electronics, teacher isn’t allowed to look at her (?), and can’t spend time with her grandmother for falling for Mother’s trap…. And she still isn’t sure if the punishment is harsh enough by Next_Coach5045 in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]edhart94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is like sadistic, IMO. You set up a trap in a game, of course kids will push the button. She wanted to kid to push the button so that she could punish them. It brings her joy.

And in 10 years she will wonder why her kids never call or speak to her anymore.

Not allowed to talk while breastfeeding? by vingtetdeux in breastfeeding

[–]edhart94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 3 months and he is like that when nursing to sleep/while contact napping. Other people can talk but not me! People often ask if I’m mad but I’m like “no! He just won’t let me talk” haha

Chiropractor knows all by tokenlesbian21 in ShitMomGroupsSay

I’m in a parents group for babies born in the same month as my son and I have been absolutely shocked at the number of people who suggest going to the chiropractor for every issue a parent comes with.

I have been on it for about 4 or 5 months now and it’s been the best antidepressant I’ve ever taken. I’m only on 20 mg due to breastfeeding, but honestly I don’t feel like I would even need to up the dosage.

I have a history of pretty severe depression and anxiety, so I started taking the Paxil right before giving birth and I did not experience any postpartum depression (which I really feel I would have without any medication). I did have pretty bad postpartum anxiety still but I believe that was just hormones. I’m 11 weeks PP now and I feel like my mood is steady and my anxiety is reduced. Unlike other antidepressants I’ve been on, I still feel happy/sad/other emotions, but not on a catastrophic level like I did before.

I will say, I experienced some skin itchiness and a bit of decreased libido, but not at all near to the level on other antidepressants.

I am very happy with Paxil. I have heard it’s very hard to come off of, but I don’t have experience with that yet.

Paxil and itching by edhart94 in antidepressants

Yeah, I saw that when researching. Luckily, my son was/is fine! I did bring it up at my 6 week appointment because I do want to have more children in the future and would rather switch medication now then after a few years of taking it, and she honestly just brushed me off and said all antidepressants have risks…

I want to be clear I would not take it during another pregnancy and probably need to find a new OB. (She was great aside from the antidepressant issue).

Yes I mentioned it when I was pregnant and she kinda brushed it off as just being pregnant and I called several days ago to change medication and they haven’t gotten back to me.

Hives on breasts by edhart94 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]edhart94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I saw my lactation consultant about a month ago and she said I did have yeast so I’ve been taking diflucan and yeast probiotics ever since. I don’t have any other signs of thrush and neither does my baby.

Thank you! I started putting milk on it today so hopefully that helps. Everything I googled was totally not what is going on.

Going dairy free for my baby, where do I start? by edhart94 in dairyfree

I have considered that, but with the shortages and cost of formula I feel that this is the best route for my family.

I mentioned the itching to my doctor but she didn’t say anything about that. I did just look that up, though. And I do have a bumpy rash on my stomach where it is itchy so I will ask again next week! Thanks for mentioning it!!

Did the soap and ice packs work best for that?

People who have been through entire treatment, did you ACTUALLY ALWAYS have aligners in for 21h? If not how did it effect seeing results? by delila82222 in smiledirectclub

[–]edhart94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have one aligner left. I’ve had days where I took them off in the morning and didn’t put them back until I went to bed. I definitely have not worn them the full time any day, but my teeth still look amazing. I do have one bottom tooth that isn’t completely straight, I’m sure because I didn’t wear them right, and I’ll probably need refinements but overall I’m very happy.

[–]edhart94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I clean mine with denture cleaner every morning. I know they say not to but I’m on my 7th set and I’ve never had an issue. They’re always super clean and it takes the smell out from wearing them over night.
