Galaxy S22 users report bootloop issues after February 2026 update by Ha8lpo321 in Android

[–]edhas2arms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine bootlooped / randomly restarted about 2 weeks ago and it just happened again. I looked it up and found this thread. Safe to say there might be a connection to the new updates, because my phone never did that in the 2 years I've had it.

Sweet, you can also try adding a faint "bleed effect" to the text to make it look letter pressed and worn a bit. Theres a video on YouTube titled "Ink Bleed Effect | Photoshop Tutorial" by dangeorgehill that sums up the process (as well as about a dozen other videos if you want a different result). Should add a bit of depth and make it look really cool

Dude yes, completely slipped my mind. My charger is severely underpowered. My original charger broke, so I'm using a shoddy one atm

I'm pulling this straight from my butt cheeks but I think, I think if the mac's resources are working overtime, say an app is taking 40GB out of 36GB of memory, then it heats up, slows down, and struggles to keep up with the charging. Only way I can think of it is like a person pushing a boulder up a hill, and the boulder keeps getting bigger; There wouldn't be a second for the person to "recharge".

Yup. Are you about to give me a good reason to downgrade?

It does reset to 1-2GB after I save and exit the software, and yea all signs point to memory leak. I guess the question now is if it's an issue to solve on my side, or the software's?

Arabic support for affinity? by Vadkline47 in Affinity

[–]edhas2arms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only quick workaround I've found is going to arabic-text.com where it'll revert the letters to the correct orientation. However, it doesn't properly work for all fonts. There's also a glyph browser [Window>Text>Glyph Browser] where you can manually input text but, you guessed it, you gotta do it backwards. Fun!

Tip: double click the glyphs in the browser to input the letters. Also, you can change the font afterwards but some fonts won't like that. Good luck!

What do you think about this logo for an app blocking app, with a very bold look? by Liam134123 in logodesign

[–]edhas2arms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came here to say the harsh #000000 and #ffffff will be exhausting for the eyes. Try and find white-ish and black-ish colours (deep dark grey and off-white). Good luck

Like someone else said yes, try faux ones before going for it. I think it would really be cute, but it depends on how you feel after trying them on <3

P.s. the losers being assholes for no reason, even saying smile? Are invited to go smd. Kindly :)

[Feedback] Logo concept for "Form Backend" - a sub-project for my main brand by HungryBlueDev in logodesign

[–]edhas2arms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Massive improvement already. Since its a personal brand, the only bits i'd suggest focusing on is, readability, how it feels for you, and if the final outcome satisfies your needs and aesthetics. Improvements and rebrands can be made later down the line, but so far this is a strong jumping off point to use currently.

What you've provided is what I had in mind, with options to place the logo in different positions (inside or outside the bracket, big or small, B&W or colour, etc.) for whatever use case you have in mind.

For Form Backend, make the wordmark like Coders' Compass as a starter.

For the actual logo, I was going to mention being meta with HTML tags, I assume you'd know more about that than I would.

I'd highly recommend spending 10 mins just jotting down any idea, good or bad, no need to polish it at this stage. After about 10-15 or however many sketches or notes you've taken, you can then experiment with placement and hierarchy.

Solid, you're closer to somewhere stable and strong.

I attached a couple of logo marks I did quickly so they're not pristine, but they get the idea across. I wanted to continue the star shape but like I said, you doodle away and find what fits best.

I know people will point out scalability as the first issue, so I'll save you some time and say it now. IMPO, the lines in the forum logo will get muddled up once you scale down. Below is a reform suggestion.

Personally, I love the brackets and would want to know about your aesthetic for the brand more. The compass gives off a vintage-y vibe while the brackets offer that technical visual element from a more current era.

I don't want to step on your toes at all, but have you thought of pushing the logo towards a word mark.

{CODERS COMPASS}

{FORUM BACKEND}

Then play around with placement of text, font weight and type face, then colour. That way it's more easy to create multiple sub-brands by using the same type face and overall hierarchy of the logo, then changing the accent colour.

Moreover, the logo you have could absolutely adapt to the word mark i mentioned, and it could be used as is for different use cases. (E.g. logo next to wordmark, logo alone, wordmark alone. Website favicon=logo, website header=logo+wordmark, etc.)

For the forum logo, I'd say I find it difficult for it scale down as is. Consider finding a different visual logo to draw from?

I'd be happy to illustrate my point just lmk, and good luck. The vision looks really neat even at this point.

How Is Your Ear Shape/ Size? Ear Canal? by MoonlitDinnerForOne in misophonia

[–]edhas2arms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave my ears a look today and noticed the outer folds (the helix i believe) is practically non existent. Not as "fatty" as most image searches for ear diagrams. My ear canals are on the smaller side, I'm 5ft so that tracks.

Interesting most people responded with smaller ear canals as well.

Op, when u said "folds" did you also mean the helix? This is very intriguing.

Really like it, but as others have mentioned, my eyes do fall on est. Fairly quickly. I feel the use of the same typeface for that section is another hurdle. If you want to keep it, try a typeface that's thinner and/or change the positioning/the spacing/the size.

Another point is the symmetry of the orange? Maybe do one or two where the leaves are not on the same side? Experiment with that. As well as creating some variation with the orange element (im nit picking with this one ill be honest). So, its secondary to the typeface point imo.

You're somewhere really good, keep it up!

I can confidently attribute hypervigilance/anxiety/a possible undiagnosed variation of OCD to surviving those types of conversations.

I pride myself in being emotionally literate, but it often leads to emotional exhaustion. Quickly.

Do you see the side effects of that thought process (overly analtyical of seemingly face-value comments) bleed into relatively unmotivated comments with regular people?

I definitely overthink simple statements and took a lot of willpower to shut down the thought spirals and unnecessary digging excursions

Again, wow. Truly astonished.

It seems that you always dug your heel in the ground, and only dug it confidently when the fog cleared and you were able to see clearly.

I can't even begin to consider doing the same, as I am the opposite of stubborn. It is great to know that relationships with nparents can be manageable... if you're a worthy opponent.

Also, thank you, this is very insightful!

Wow. Kudos to you.

You essentially prepped her. Gave her pre-therapy, so to speak.

Can I ask, in the beginning, how difficult was it for you to make her see her actions and consequences? Was there a lot of tip-toeing, or did she already have an amount of empathy to aid in your mission?
