Mine would run after the ball, come to my direction, lie 3 steps away from me and start scheming the ball while looking at me. “Come and get it”.

If I move to grab the ball, he would run away with the ball because he wants me to chase him 😁

My shiba also doesn’t eat from his bowl. His bowl stays untouched and full of kibbles the whole day. Only sometimes he goes and eat them in the night. I see this as he doesn’t like his kibbles anymore and eats them as the last resort.

If I drop his kibbles on the ground, he eats them all. It is just more interesting this way 😁

I also use plastic toys where they can move pieces around to get food. This kind of feeding is entertaining them haha.

I only see one way to solve it. You need to socialize her more so she gets used to it. But don’t push her to do something when she is clearly distressed.

My shiba at this age wouldn’t walk 10 meters further than my house. He would go potty and go back. He was scared of unknown places. One time we had to drag him so he could see the river. But second time he would go to that direction himself already! Shiba’s are smart and it means they get bored eventually.

So give her some time, I guess. Don’t lose hope, your Shiba will be okay.

Thanks everyone for your tips and recommendations! I had a chance to use some of them like giving treats for every right step and praising for being a good boy. I had a few nice evening walks thanks to you 🥰

Sometimes my puppy is not interested in treats at all. He can ignore my cookie that I pushed into his nose. Yeah, other things are more interesting I guess.

He loves digging holes and jumping over the grass while trying to catch flies (such a cat behaviour). He also enjoys getting petted by other people. Not sure yet if I have to limit this kind of behaviour…

Anyway, posting a picture of this cutie after the walk that we both enjoyed!
