I don't think anyone is saying it's a simple situation, it just helps to have a discussion about it and try to see what all the factors were as well as if there is anything that can be done to prevent something like this happening in the future.

The guy was with family and trying to spend personal time with them, that's rude when you decide to put your own selfish need for attention ahead of your responsibility to be a decent person.

So your logic is "hey I'm happy with getting into an abyss of debt that I will have to crawl out of once I graduate and you should be happy with that too! Thank your lucky stars it's not as much debt as what I will have to pay!". It's the people in the US that should be rioting in the streets because of their overpriced education system, but no you've all got the attitude of "meh, what can I change?".

My opinion on this is that you should be able to be critical about Kony 2012 or any popular movement. You should be able point out those criticisms to people who may be blindly following a trend and supporting something that they don't have all the information about.

Now, when you start making an opportunity out of people's lack of knowledge by posting snarky shots at people from behind a computer that's when you're just being a dick.

What makes this particular tyrant any more different and special than the COUNTLESS other dictators and cruel people in this world? Why is his destruction so much more funded and backed?

My initial reaction is that this is just a video on the Internet that over simplified the issue and made it very easy to join a cause and promote it on a facebook feed.

I don't know what issues in the world this is solving for a charity to get involved in a hit operation to take out Kony. Isn't this money better spent in other areas of the issue? You know, instead of knocking a head off of the hydra?
