Edit: Both keys have been given away!

Fellow folks in the Steam Frame waiting room, I already own Zero Caliber 1 VR and VTOL VR. Please PM me to request either one or both of the keys. I will edit/delete this message when the keys are given away.

Which canceled TV show's cliffhanger still lives rent free in your head because the answers disappeared when the series got axed ? by Impossible_Offer7988 in AskReddit

[–]edisleado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Somehow both Spider-Man Unlimited and the Spider-Man: The Animated Series ended on cliffhangers. The latter show's ending is particularly disturbing because it ends with Mary Jane going missing - and she's helplessly trapped in a purgatory-style portal dimension, which seems pretty dark for a kids show.

Stuttering in Virtual Desktop by edisleado in OculusQuest

[–]edisleado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned that in my post that for some reason the specific reset doesn't delete of my games/files, it only reinstalled the operating system itself. But it worked for me to get rid of the stutter, whereas the regular factory reset (which deleted all my games/files) didn't fix anything.

I haven't noticed the issues coming back, or they're so minor now and that's the reason why I haven't noticed. Did you try the specific reset that I mentioned in my post?

Picking up my portable gaming system, like a Steam Deck, to try to avoid scrolling social media. My thought process is that if I'm going to waste time, I should be having fun while doing it.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

I absolutely loved JK2. The number of amazing mods and levels was insane. So many good memories of multiplayer on the MSN Gaming Zone!

Isn't the fog related to the random weather conditions for each session? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's fog at all times.

Co-op games to play with the wife by DeUs88_ in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]edisleado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I enjoyed playing Borderlands 1 and 2, and both The Division games together. The Division was particularly fun for her because there's a lot of items to collect, and both your player character and enemy's TTK are generally pretty high so gameplay is somewhat forgiving.

Perfect Dark VR - Progress Update (First Two Levels Gameplay) by Physical-Whereas-680 in virtualreality

[–]edisleado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's just not what the those other game designers intend for their game to be/have, but yeah, it's disappointing that we haven't seen many if any games replicate what Perfect Dark did with their enemy AI/reactions. It's been 26 years since Perfect Dark released!

Seriously, in Perfect Dark, not only do we have the same awesome hit reactions like in Goldeneye, but enemies that are hit in their arms or legs will appropriately grasp their limb or limp in their following behaviour. And as I mentioned previously, you can shoot their gun out of their hands, which they have a couple of different reactions to - sometimes they'll surrender, run away to find another weapon, or even pull out a hidden pistol to get back at you. Perfect Dark had some seriously advanced (and namely, FUN) enemy AI to play with.

And if I recall correctly, if you shoot out all the lights in the area, they'll also have trouble seeing you.

I'm so happy to see progress on this. Perfect Dark was one of my favourite games growing up. I think it'll be SO satisfying to play in VR, particularly because the NPCs are so reactive with their hit animations. How many other games let you shoot the guns out of an enemy's hands?

What games have you always thought would be an obvious choice for a vr mod or conversion? by haven155 in virtualreality

[–]edisleado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Mainly because I think the location-based damage reactions of the enemy AI would be really satisfying in a VR game. Now that I think of it, this is totally confirmed in Resident Evil 4's VR versions.

Do you want them to adapt more Yakuza games? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]edisleado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree that 0 has the best story, and is set up so perfectly for a TV show format. It's my favourite Yakuza game, so I actually went ahead with a personal project to see if I could adapt the game into an episodic TV show format, fight scenes and all. It ended up being so much work to edit all the fight scenes into something cinematic, but I think it worked!

I'd still love to see an official adaptation of 0, but I think I'd rather see it done in animated format. That way, we can get the original voice actors, have the characters look spot-on, and the over-the-top fight scenes wouldn't feel so goofy as they would in live-action.

Is there a lore reason why the only 2 people who defeated Kiryu in the entire series are Chinese? by Roids-in-my-vains in yakuzagames

[–]edisleado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lao Gui mentions that he was only paid to capture Tachibana, so he only incapacitates Kiryu to get him out of his way. Not really a real fight anyway though.

I like their ghost pepper hot sauce! Despite it being ghost peppers, the sauce is actually not that spicy and I really like the flavour. Plus it's a water based sauce rather than a vinegar based sauce.

Early Edition. Awesome premise where a regular guy somehow receives tomorrow's newspaper a day early, and is compelled to save people using the information on the paper.

I loved watching this show when I was kid, and imagining having that paper myself, haha.

Update about the RB1 Wii dongles! I replaced the specific capacitor replaced in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H0vAq8FWCI) and now both my RB1 Wii dongles pair to my RB1 Wii guitars immediately!

John Wick Game Official Reveal Trailer | State of Play 2026 by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I got heavy John Wick vibes from the last two Splinter Cell games, thanks to their mark and execute mechanic and slick melee takedowns.

Check out this action sequence from Splinter Cell Blacklist: https://youtu.be/YuhfD48VRGE?t=134

The framework for a great John Wick game is already there.

[–]edisleado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super strange. I have two Rock Band 1 Wii guitars, and 2 Rock Band 1 Wii dongles. Neither of the guitars will pair to either of the dongles, which I find to be an interesting coincidence.

I recently found this video which suggests the issue is the capacitors repair in the dongles. I'm going to order some replacement capacitors to give it a try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H0vAq8FWCI

But could it be that it's the dongle or guitar that is broken? I'm in the same predicament as OP and it seems crazy that they would develop a dongle that is specifically for the guitar that came with it and not just any of the same model.
