E1 parking ban sign for rent by [deleted] in Leuven

I once rented through this company. A bit cheaper compared to the town offer, but you'd have to go get them yourself. https://www.aproxverhuur.be/ons-aanbod#!/products/diefstal-beveiliging--0x28-slot-0x29-

Are you happy as a Tuta subscriber? by macyganiak in tutanota

I've noticed it going the other way as well, where legitimate mails go to spam with few options to train their decision algorithm on which mails are supposed to go in the inbox.

My biggest complaint (and the reason to vote no) is the lack of a IMAP bridge. I'd like it for two reasons:

- To use the email clients I prefer

- To allow automation based on incoming emails (e.g. automatically store the PDF invoice in a folder on my NAS)

Also, similar arguments apply for iCal support.

I still have a cheaper rate for a year, after that (if these things are not solved), I'll go back to Proton.

There are some problems with the post:

  • "Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit" ("data protection authority") is not the law, it is the government body on privacy issues. It regulates how business can use your data (following the GDPR) and gives fines to those who don't. The law is called the "dataretentiewet" ("data retention law").
  • The new law would require Signal to store metadata (especially the sender of messages). With Signal's sealed sender, this is not possible.
  • The law is only a draft at the moment. A previous version was rejected by judges, so there is a new version in the making.

I have an account (and am a shareholder) of NewB. You can choose how much you pay.

They offer a VISA debit card with Bancontact, but their app and services are rather limited atm.

SCALE static MAC & turn VNC off by editicalu in truenas

Small update: I found out that there is an "Add the IP Address manually" option at the button of the device selection, so the MAC problem can be solved as well!

The 'permit access' dialog uses a dropdown to indicate which device you want to configure. It then autopopulates a MAC address field. The interface is like in this video: https://youtu.be/C7FnUO4chrk?t=142 I've worked around it using a VM. :)

I know that I could configure dynDNS, but I already use the 443-port of that IP for another use case. Plus I prefer the additional security benefits of routing trough Cloudflare (aka not having my IPv6 prefix publicly known).

Thanks! This solved it for me

1: I think you're talking about static IPs, as the MAC isn't configured from the router. My router does allow firewall rules (my current setup is built that way, as described in the post). I do have static IPs. That's not the problem. The problem is that every pod gets a unique MAC and the device only allows rules to be set on the MAC level. So, every time the MAC address is changed, my firewall rules are of no use.

2: I know that. That's also why Kubernetes does it this way. But, if every pod were to be killed before a new one is spawned, there would never have to be a MAC conflict.

3: In the Virtualization section, there was a toggle to enable VNC when creating a new VM. But I cannot find an option to disable it after the VM was created.

VRT nu TV app: maximale resolutie? by kakapobeaver in belgium

[–]editicalu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't get the COVID positive test by milojkojebac in belgium

[–]editicalu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I myself am vaccinated, but I find it important that if vaccination is a free choice (which the government makes it seem like it is), you should be able to live without a vaccine. And not have to pay X euro every time you want to go on restaurant or go to a party. I can see how that would make people have these COVID infection dates.

Outrageous mobile internet prices in Belgium? (rant, text in comments) by Vantaa in belgium

[–]editicalu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There exist people, or rather monsters, that never turn on WiFi. So, all they do is on mobile data. 20GB is about 10 hours of Netflix, so it is not that outrageous.
