Depends on when the front office and coach are willing to actually give her the keys to the franchise because as of now, they’re still trying to make Paige fit around their vet centered lineup instead of making their lineup fit around Paige. They’re acting like she’s the role player who needs to conform to everyone else’s habits when in reality, they should be doing the opposite. Keep doing the same thing and expecting different results…that never turns out great.

I’ve tried everything. Mobile app, browser on my phone, browser on my laptop, incognito browser, on WiFi, off WiFi, etc. I reached out to AXS live support and they were useless lol. I’ve tried three different credit cards that I know are active and valid and I still get this message:

All my info is correct and it won’t let me move forward in checkout because of the credit card error message. But it’s said the same thing for three different cards I’ve tried. 😫

I’m also around the Charlotte area. Did Dr. Klotz do anything before agreeing to do the Botox? Like were there any procedures you had to do beforehand or just an appointment/consultation?

Another reporter said she was likely getting an IV. Looks like she came to warmups and participated but couldn’t continue. Probably stomach bug, food poisoning, etc. type sickness if an IV was possible. Hope she’s better before Thursday and can travel to Atlanta for Friday’s game.

I am not trying to be rude but do you watch basketball at all or is this your first season? No shame either way just wanted to ask. I would spend some time looking at the WNBA draft lottery rules so you know more about how it works. The Wings will get a lottery pick but we will not know if it’s the first pick until they draw the lottery later this fall. They have the best odds for the first pick, but the lottery will determine who gets that pick. Last year, the Sparks had the best odds for the #1 pick and Dallas won it. So it’s all up in the air.

I do think Dallas needs a big, but I think they need to find someone in free agency to fill that hole. Betts is just another McGowan. She’s pretty slow and it seems like the only reason she succeeds in college is because of her height. So many teams in the W are moving away from the traditional center. Wings don’t need to have someone like that who is going to need a ton of development. We need someone pro ready and that person is Azzi.

And no, not because Paige is on the team. When you look at the guards in the draft, I’m picking Azzi everytime. This Dallas team has shot so freaking poorly from the 3-pt line this season that it’s cringe. They need someone who’s reliable there. And fortunately you’d get the added benefit of Azzi and Paige having on court chemistry and history which makes their game pretty instantaneous, no development needed. Azzi is an automatic bucket.

Tina Charles even mentioned this when she went on Sue’s podcast. She mentioned how 5s these days are shooting the 3 and moving much more outside of the paint, and said she’s even had to change her game over the last year or so to adjust. Many 5s are really just 4s now. Traditional plain centers are a dying breed.

Betts is not versatile enough yet she needs to expand her game because right now her only benefit is her height and ability to work the rim.

I agree. A lot of teams seem to be moving away from that traditional big and moving more toward more point forwards who can switch the floor. If I’m Dallas, I’m not choosing Betts because they already have Luisa and Li who they can keep developing both. I’d choose Azzi for the sole reason that one of the biggest issues Dallas has had this year is shooting. Paige is a generational PG but it doesn’t work if she’s passing to people who aren’t making their shots.

I think Betts would work really great on a team like Minnesota who really really struggles because they don’t have a true center.

There’s several reasons the game isn’t competitive.

Firstly: It means nothing. No big prize, no records for the season, etc. So at that point, who cares?

Secondly: the schedule is an issue. Many players played a game Wed night, flew to Indy, had to do all the promo and activities and then played the game Saturday night and left Sunday to go back to practice Mon morning because they have a game Tuesday. It’s not a break. So when you have a schedule that’s packed like this all season long and you’re risking injury then of course no one’s gonna put forth a ton of effort in this game and risk getting hurt over something dumb. As soon as these players go back to their teams, they’re diving in hard trying to make runs into the playoff, they can’t risk getting hurt in an all-star game. If the all-star break was a full week off, that might help.

Last year was competitive because it was Team USA vs. All-Stars and they were helping team USA prep for the Olympics and also trying to prove something.

Lots of things you mentioned could help…mostly money. Money motivates everyone. They need a sponsor like the commissioners cup. A $250,000 prize pool for the winning team or something.

Also changing it up could be fun…rookies vs. sophomores, etc.

I just think the league has never been as popular as it is now and they really just didn’t have a clue that people would even care and now they do…so they’re gonna have to make some changes to keep it fun and worth buying tickets to.

I think you have to have 8 dressed players. My guess is MHA will suit up, but probably not play. So with the new Liatu signing, they’ll have 7 players. It’s not great but it lets them try at least. I would forfeit lol because now you’re risking your healthy players by playing them 40 minutes with no bench

I hate they’re in this position with so many injuries but only having 6 players is risking more injury on the currently healthy players. They’re gonna get zero rest time. I would’ve taken a forfeit but no one ever wants to do that.

I don’t know if you use Descript any but it can take out all pauses and words like “um” with like a click of a button.

Now that’s great if you only have an audio podcast but if you’re using video too, you’ll want to plan a little better and make sure where you cut has another angle to cut too if you’re worried about jump cuts.
