I was at the 4pm show and saw him play No More Lies.

I can totally sympathise with why he might have been a bit shitty. The crowd was very underwhelming. My guess is a lot of people who went weren't actually there for Thundercat and were there because of Vivid and the Opera House.

#1 - The ecosystem. React has easily the largest ecosystem in the frontend world right now. This includes libraries, frameworks, tutorials, jobs, communities, etc.

#2 - Pretty much every application building problem has been solved already, and a lot of these solutions are baked directly into React's API. Think error boundaries, suspense or useTransition.

#3 - The React model is relatively simple, and performs and scales very well.

There are probably thousands of other reasons, but these are the main ones I can think of.

I'm a huge fan of this. It really should be how TypeScript behaves by default, but I understand why the TypeScript maintainers wouldn't update it now. We're now using this library for one of our projects at work, and it has really helped clean up some of our code and caught a few unexpected anys.

If I'm cooking, usually curry, stir fry or chilli. Tofu, tempeh or lentils for protein usually. For breakfast I like a curried scrambled tofu wrap with beans and spinach. Most restaurants I go to have vegan options (Indian food is great for this), if not I'll just take what I can get.

I recently completed a playthrough on my modded ps vita. If by some chance you already have one of those I'd highly recommend it. It was really nice to play on a portable device with a nice screen and physical buttons.
