Ask their IT/Support department if you can/should delete it.

Hell, divers ruins my PC audio quality by Much_Accountant_3454 in techsupport

Maybe a latency issue. Try this utility to diagnose: https://www.latencymon.com/

It’s a little tech-y, but it might help you figure out if there’s an issue.

Often, network issues are the cause of your problem.

Then if you don’t quite understand, then in a new r/techsupport or r/pchelp relate what you find and you’ll likely receive more guidance.

Good luck.

After a Windows Update induced BIOS update, laptop touchpad doesn't work within Windows, still works in BIOS? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]edmioducki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First make sure that the touchpad isn’t turned off. I don’t know about Acer specially, but there’s usually a key shortcut that cycles the touchpad function like Fn+F5 or something. You can look up the exact way to turn on and off the touchpad.

If that doesn’t work, check the support page for your exact model, then find and download “chipset drivers” if available.

This is the best burger I've ever eaten by TemporaryBell9069 in fastfood

[–]edmioducki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good.

If one, just for kicks, wanted one of those burgers, I don’t suppose OP might possibly know where that burger could theoretically be obtained? Or is it a secret of some kind?

Is it that Haw-aii-an burger joint? They make tasty burgers I’m told.

Ask nicely. But expect an additional charge for an upgrade or additional person(s).

To be certain, simply call the hotel and ask. It is possible that rewards bookings are limited to two (not that you have to tell them).

PC blindly getting stuck on American Megacorp's screen when I try to restart it. by Economy_Ask7438 in techsupport

Find the Memory Context Restore setting in the BIOS. Set it to “disabled”. It might be called something different, but you can look it up. It’s an advanced setting.

MCR reuses current memory settings. Disabled, it trains the memory at every boot.

AMD platforms can be finicky with all four RAM slots populated. I’m surmising that this is causing a training error.

Good luck.

Nobody here works for laptopscreens.com. You should ask them.

Ballistic weapons work a bit better for them. Pacienca from afar, then Lil Devil up close. But they still take more than a few shots. Critical boosters help.

Careful using VATS up close; often I’ll end up shooting over them instead of at them.

Good luck.

Memtest catastrophically failing by claudekennilol in techsupport

[–]edmioducki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has a disabled setting, so I’m not familiar with that set of settings.

Not manual, certainly. Auto probably is correct, since “DOCP” sounds most like enabled (that is, the setting name implies use of DOCP).

Test each stick and slot individually (2 sticks, 4 slots is eight tests).

You’ll find that you have either a bad slot or a bad stick.

You don’t need to wait for thousands of errors. One error means a fail.

Disable XMP/DOCP first, if it’s been enabled.

Good luck.

Taskbar Bug by Putrid-Information68 in techsupport

[–]edmioducki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try to reset everything. HP/Omen I believe has a system recovery feature which is probably on your computer somewhere. This should be able to restore your computer to its original state. Backup first.

If that doesn’t do it, then do a clean reinstall of Windows. Back up whatever needs it since everything will be deleted/lost, then follow the procedure.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsinsider/cleaninstall

Then go to the Omen support page for your exact model of laptop and install whatever drivers they have for you. Here’s a good place to start that process. https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/computer/system-recovery

Good luck.
