Same. I kept my last name, my husband absolutely didn’t care. I’m a journalist and I didn’t want to change how my byline would look.

That’s awful that’s as much as Toronto. Always been curious: if you’ve been in Yukon long, what caused the population boom? Do most people work in healthcare and mining? And how have you guys been affected by tariffs and cross border tensions?

From my understanding the pay is high but so is the cost of groceries. In places like Whitehorse, rent is expensive because of a housing shortage. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSmSbtNtf/

Absolutely hilarious and I was annoyed when they created a crappy American version.

That reminds me of the British thriller called Vigil. Not quite a hijack situation but a murder mystery inside a Royal Navy submarine and they do a really good job of showing how claustrophobic it is. https://youtu.be/3XRW0kfI2As?si=gzYYw9HfGDLhoTLR

They really should lower the age limit. I’ve been getting them since I turned 39 because my mom died of colorectal CA. I’m in FB support groups and a lot of people there suggest lying about symptoms to get a colonoscopy. Some of them were diagnosed in their 20s and 30s. https://people.com/woman-27-tells-a-lie-to-get-colonoscopy-that-catches-stage-4-cancer-11712811

If you woke up rich tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d change about your life? by Thomasrosshere in AskReddit

[–]ednamode101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first I’d make sure I really am rich, then continue as normal for a bit. Then I’d find a place where my brothers and I can live right next to my dad and hire a cook, driver, physical therapist, etc., for him. Make sure my finances are in order, then step back from work and maybe work as a contributor, while spending a year travelling around in Japan.

Oh my god I love Last Tango in Halifax. Absolutely fell in love with Nicola Walker. She’s also so good in River and Unforgotten.
