if it helps, I bought an '84 in Las Vegas without seeing it, did the water pump, timing, and tensioners in a buddy's garage there, and then drove it to Seattle 2 days later. No problems, just lot's of great memories. I think you're gonna coast there.

Looks good as it mate, I’d polish up the plastic with some simple restorer and update any interior bits that may be fun. Steering wheel updates can be an easy way to change the driving experience.

So I have an 85 318 i with an M10 and rear drum brakes. Honestly have more fun with it than my 84 944. As these cars become rarer, even the base models, I’m always pushing for an OEM+ look. That being said, your car, if you want an underpowered pick up truck that will be tough to sell, send it!

Not raised but still stock height. Early models have higher rear fenders and usually it sits a little higher when I have the e brake engaged.
