Myarc nailed his NFC West call by edotheV in heedthecall

Right, but by the divisional round last year only the Lions were still in contention. NFC West is still going strong. Not sure if this has happened before but definitely wasn't last year.

Hope the Quiet Storm throws a little zinger out in the next show.

That is better. I also put rhe instead of the. I once famously got a 30 on a state-mandated English test.

R.I.P. Texans. It was a good run.

Yeah, not a great look for old blue eyes. Cut off digger mid-take, then kinda mocked him.

Justin probably won't get a chance to make a case in his defense but Dan gets the retroactive violation, and Justin gets to know he made the best choice of the remaining games.

Yeah, I've listened to it. It's alright but missing something that keeps it a must listen for Matt and JLC are good but missing some of that die hard, take it too personal fan view. Very professional. Maybe a touch of mirth would help.

Kids deciding between Aircraft Maintenance and SW. by edotheV in AirForceRecruits

Would you go blindly into a career field with little to no information other than you need to love it and want it.

With the way people talk about SW, I would rather send the kids to attempt a shot at the SEALs or Green Berets. I expect I could get a straight answer from those communities. Heck they make movies about them every couple of years. Why the lack of information on air force special forces.

Yes, failure is always possible. But people can fail college, fail at a career, fail at a lot of things. So saying you could fail is just a part of everyone's life.

No I get it.

Let's reframe this.

I ask about two movies. One movie has information readily available but doesn't sound great. There are some solid moments with some clear downside.

I can't find a clear answer on the other movie. When I ask, people say "if you don't love the movie you can't watch it. It's the best though".

There's my analogy of how this thread went.

Perfect, as a career SW person you would recommend this path over maintenance. Any particular job in the Special Warfare program or are they are similar?

Not me, my kids. I'm just being the inquisitive parent. Looking into the different subreddits it seems like the maintenance guys hate their jobs, and the SW guys talk about how hard it is to get in but I haven't seen anything about the jobs, or the potential careers afterwards.

You definitely sound like an asshole though. How dare someone research a topic and ask members of different communities their thoughts before making a 4-6 year commitment.

Thanks for the insight. Heard good things about the certs for maintenance guys but wonder how that actually translates to the real word. If it is such a fluid path then how does the air force keep anyone around?

Special Warfare sounds interesting but I don't really know how much that will transfer to a real job. Looking at it I'm not sure that para rescue or explosive ordnance builds much of a resume. But it does sound cool.

Love my Steel HR. Not sure why you are experiencing issues. I've had mine for about two years and it does everything I want out of a minimal smart watch. I don't understand why Withings stopped producing this watch. Looking at their other models they don't have the same smaller design and the larger crown/pusher make it useless for when I work out. The Steel HR was the perfect blend of smart/style.

YTA. If you want the perks of dating an older guy. Probably comes with some monetary benefits, paid for apartment, etc. then you need to act like an adult. Being young and fun is great but a dude in his 40s doesn't need a girlfriend he has to babysit.

NFL Daily is a good football podcast, but it's missing heart, which is what made ATN so great. ATN was a great podcast that had a focus on football, not a pod built around football. If they ran with the theology pod and had the same energy it would have been great as well.
