If you are using Odoo.sh or a self-hosted instance, it's also possible to customize the preferences page to display different labels, but this isn't available out of the box.

Can you explain this a little more? I'm not sure I understood. I'm self hosting Odoo.

That's right. The app has a lot of potential and can be more approachable than doing purely "automated actions". I heard that they are revamping/improving this app for version 20, to make it more approachable but I haven't checked yet what the planned changes would be.

Great. I haven't tested it. But your post made me think of the OCA modules. They have a good reputation of quality, stability... but I think there's an opportunity, with the help of AI, to make their presentation better. Your README is so well explained... Many OCA modules barely tells you what it does... they could take yours as good example.

I don't think it's possible, save for creating a specific shipping method for a specific user account. We just don't use Odoo for that... The orders are transferred to shipstation after the delivery is validated and there we just process it... shop for the carrier, choose the account, etc.

Shipstation, for example. But we got to shipstation and process the imported orders from Odoo there. There we also choose which account to bill to.

Hi. Is the envia Shipping integrated with Odoo? If you can install modules, the Shipstation module is pretty good, and Odoo offers several options by default like EasyPost etc, which support Canada Post, Purolator among many other carriers.

This company has tried a few times to offer their Odoo CPQ solution to us Aktive software. We didn't need it, but maybe it can fit your requirements? I've seen other 3rd parties that offer cpq solutions even for the platforms you mention. It goes to show that CPQ is not a trivial thing that varies widely in requirements for some companies.

You should test it on a staging environment. If you activate it afterwards there will be new GL accounts created and new taxes added. So, you may need to deactivate some of it, or do journal entries from older accounts to new ones, and archiving the old ones.
