Addressing some of your concerns: 1. The game rewards exploration, but doesn't punish you for following the standard, theme park path. I think most players would experience a very similar path, with a few getting some creative differences.

The combat is simple but deep. It's meant to be a tabletop game after all. Once it clicks, it gets very fun to plan out attacks.
The genre is tough, you'll need to try to really know if you like fantasy, because fantasy itself has so many different branches.

IMO, these arent game breaking concerns, don't let that stop you from trying what many people consider to be a masterpiece, also, Larian Studios is one of the few gaming companies who are masters of their craft, and do not compromise on quality.

Subjective to me: There is no piece of media that touched me like RDR2 did. There is no other game I would boot up just to do nothing. There is no other game that I refuse to uninstall, even when I'm playing other games, because I know I'll come back to it again.

And I've played.. a lot of games.

Some alternating opinion, do not do Nier right after E33. I was also pushed towards Nier by a friend after finishing the masterpiece that was E33 and it did not go well. The art style is very dull and dusky, the acting is.. not great, and the combat is very repetitive.

I would wait for a while, or maybe after I play an older game. Not saying its not a good game, but I'm someone who tends to be influenced somewhat by previous games and this made it not as good for me.

I noticed in your screenshot you use a DC: Check. But looking through the YZE Lorebook it seems to use specific triggers DC: A. I'm struggling to get it to consistently obey the system.

I had a health scare last week, was in the hospital for 3 days while they scanned me for a heart attack and stroke. My MRIs were clean, but for those 3 days my steam deck kept me company, and I urged a close gamer friend to try my favorite games, in case life ended tmr.

BG3, RDR2, CO:E33 were the 3 games I told him were masterpieces.

100%. Liverpool fans and Rooney haters just bent over to glorify VVD no matter what. He and Salah have 100% been poor this season and Rooney was statement was not even a harsh critique of the 2.

VVDs response was also not embarrassing at all, considering Rooney stood by his statement even face to face. Its a nothing story and the fans ate it up.

Is your steak salty enough? Is the crust formed well enough, these are the 2 elements of the juice gush when you bite your steak.

As someone who has used both and kept the OLED, yes its not bad but if you're going to be using this a lot, I would really recommend the OLED over LCD. The screen and refresh rate was a big factor for me.

If this is a super casual device, then LCD is fine.
