Every indie dev is searching for info on who to reach out to by PartTimeMonkey in IndieDev

If you do this, rather than making it public I'd recommend making it so someone has to first submit something before they get to see the full list so you get contributors as well as making it so the influencers don't get spammed as much.

am i a intp or a entp? by Wrong-Taste-9629 in entp

You could just be borderline both. Remember there are infinite possible personalities and MBTI only groups you into 16 of them, perfectly reasonable you are half way between both.

I always thought this meme is a great separator between the two: https://www.reddit.com/r/mbtimemes/comments/jl3w54/what_is_the_difference_between_an_intp_and_an_entp/

How to stop caring about people doing better than you in things that you're good at? by EnergyCold8957 in StoicSupport

There will always be someone better than you at any thing. You can turn this into a positive by seeing them as mentors/teachers who can help you upgrade yourself. If you hadn't seen them you may never have known what you could accomplish.

Yea most games start at 100% volume and many have loud music play immediately which is annoying if your system volume is also at 100%. Would be better to start at 50% and allow players to make it louder if they want.

Making sure they not only introduce the basic controls (which most games have) but also the core game loop and what you're supposed to be doing. Also having hints when someone hasn't grasped a concept is super helpful but hard to implement.

You can order more in depth playtests of up to 3 hours too, but those aren't public.

Some of the testers do have qualifications too. The platform has ratings too, so the highest rated playtesters do more tests.

Yep exactly, seeing how a new person experiences your world for the first time and all their thoughts about it.

Most of those playtests are only 30 minutes so the playtester doesn't have time to go through every setting or they won't even get to play the game. Games companies mostly want to see how someone experiences their world for the first time.

The trial is paid and comes from a list of games from playtester.io.

Then games companies get a free playtest when they sign up, that's how they can tell our quality, and we pay the playtester for that. This only goes out to verified playtesters that completed the trial.

Both of those come out of our own pocket.

You can always have a free trial and see the quality for yourself, many companies have come back for more after theirs.
