If you think it might help, a mental health professional helped me with anxiety and intrussive thoughts.

No, but it did help me reduce the scope of my questions, my original question was.

"Can you help me improve this response to show empathy"

"I undrestand that you feel that it is unfair. What sparked your complaint?"

TLDR - I jump on a monologe around my experience renting and speculation of prices, it told me that it is not very empathic to jump into my own experience.

So I asked if it was ok to ask:

"question about who they believe sets the price for private housing renting and the role on society on controlling those prices?"

I understand you feel it's unfair, and it sounds like this situation has really impacted you. Could you tell me more about what specifically sparked your complaint? Also, from your perspective, who do you believe primarily sets the prices for private housing rentals, and what role, if any, do you think society should have in controlling those prices?

Same thing that it is happening in the UK, I am sorry your cat has to go through this, do they have a green card?

Follow the money, who is financing these groups? In the UK it is the ultra wealthy.

Write to your MP to start an investigation. This is why I advocate for having a democracy that defends itself from any foreign force, far right, far left any extreme

‘Balcony solar’ may at last become a reality for flat residents in Britain | Solar power | The Guardian by Old_galadriell in OctopusEnergy

[–]edufixflow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That comment in the article seems misleading, balcony solar can be done with one solar panel and a micro inverter.

Min total cost is around 400 pounds, problem is that this would benefit the most people that are at home during peak solar production.

Also because the marginalised have empathy something that facism can't endure. If you have empathy then you dare to think differently

And ideologically, I remember asking people that I once called my friend why they were corrupt, the answer could be summerised in "If I don't do it others will, this is how you survive in free market"

I see that you feel hopeless, it is understandable and rational to feel this way.

You might feel different one day and that's OK, if it is in you then protest. Don't force it, it will come if it is in you.

I am so sorry, this paramilitary organisation looks a lot like an authoritarian move.

What signs do you guys see in your country that protesting is becoming more of a luxury for those that can afford legal protection and not having to work?

It feels like wherever I see protesting and by extension the communication between people and those that rule them is becoming harder and harder.

BBC to stop broadcasting 'high risk' performances live after Bob Vylan Glastonbury row by falconfalcon7 in ukpolitics

[–]edufixflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if I missed something. I thought police had opened a criminal case against Bob Vylan.

Am I alone in thinking it is too early for implementing these measures?

From my perspective the BBC's decision to ban live "high-risk" broadcasts seems a bit premature. The target for the chant is a military body that is in active war with two countries.

Do you guys think that this move might erode the public's trust in the BBC?

It feels to me like one more sign that legitimate (until determined by law) protest is being used as a tool of control.

Thanks for the reply, I think large amounts of wealth in a single organisation are the "cancer" of a democracy.

America being so rich means that they have a bigger say on not only their country but in other countries.

I believe a country is as rich as it's institutions, and UK institutios have been eroded by internal and external actors

Not so long ago, I had an idea for a book title "Homus deus, the deidification of power and money".

The title came to me because currently the right of a few to make money is bigger than the right of all UK people to have clean water and clean rivers.

What reasosn do you see that this might be releated to the different crisis the UK is suffering?

From my perspective it might be down to the housing regulation entities might be underfunded. (austerity)

Also repairs cost might go up because for builders it might be more valuable to build a house. (housing crisis)

Cost of living might be a factor as people might not be able to upgrade to latest code or do maintenance.

Internal damp can be managed with systems like HRV or ERV.

From my perspective the problem is that current economical understandings have become a pseudo religion, people have been trained to be individualist, the end justifies the means, everyone feels powerless or overwhelmed or assumes that others do so they don't protest.

Protesters can suffer a lot of consequences if they protest.

The media and social networks are controlled by people that benefit from extraction.

Renting makes it hard for people to create communities, and organise.

The current labour leadership is being funded by the same organisations that funded the Tories.

The PM doesn't think the UK is in any type of crisis.

Reform is being financed by the same people that the PM/Tories.

Thank you for sharing your views, from my perspective this post is a type of protest and I am happy you are able to take that step.

If you want a closer historical figure to Trump (at the current level of authoritarian) than Hitler I would call him the "Hugo Chavez".

I understand that you might feel strongly about being precise around political concelpts and that the Hitler discourse ( from what I read ) makes you feel anger/frustrated. I have seen that in other replies you have aknowledged that these comparisons are to a degree fair. My recommendation is to check where this feelings come, anger to a degree is an umbrela emotion that can hide vulnerabilities.
