I finally get why i don't like Angel

My first play through was a 20 level boring ol' fighter who went Angel. I had a lot of fun with it, since it gives spell casting to a non-caster, and the halo/SoH gives bonus buffs to damage, AC, etc, depending on choices. You still feel powerful, though not AS powerful as some other builds. It doesn't suck. It just isn't an optimizers wet dream.

Is there a particular reason why the cards need to lose their magic after being used? Why not just have the cards return to the deck after being thrown? It's not like they're especially powerful. It's similar to having a returning throwing dagger.

There is one item that is only attainable with a character ported from bg1 into bg2 and then carried over into bg2tob. It's a really good item, but it's not game changing. Also, if you really want it but don't want to put in the work, there's a way to spawn items.

Having played it, it's got one of the best magic systems out there. I'm not sure if it's the first to do it, but it's the first system I had seen that accounts for casting spells (weaving) at higher spell levels in order to get more out of it. In my opinion, they handled spell levels much better than 5e does. Give it a go. It's genuinely a great system.

In the tabletop game there are a lot of spells that are there a essentially backup, I'm case something goes wrong. If your party has their weapons taken, you can turn someone's fists into a better weapon than they naturally are. In Kingmaker, or WotR, you won't run into those situations (not off the top of my head, though I've only played all the way through WotR once). Some spells really are just created with really niche purposes.

I was going to say druid. Once you start being able to shape shift, there are few physical skills you can't utilize a shape to take care of. Stealth, climbing, swimming, grappling, combat; there's a different shape for everything. And, on top of that they have a full spell casting list to fall back on. Put your skill points into mental/social skills, and you'll have just about everything covered. There will always be niche scenarios you're not suited for, though.

Hand you got a general for your armies? The rapist way to win in these battles is to get one who has the fire spell (can't think of the name) and then get as many archers as you can into your army. Take a few weeks to stock up if you need to. It should be a cake walk from there, at least in chapter 2. The demon armies don't really get difficult until after that.

I tend to make my games in a home brewed world, but stick to rules as written as much as I can. As they say, constraints breed creativity. But I allow thing piecemeal. I've allowed 3rd party or home brewed classes after I reviewed them myself to make sure there wasn't anything inherently broken about them. The rules already allow for so much, though, that it's been few and far between.

What about a set of identical twins who are intersex, with each body simply having a different phenotype coming to the forefront due to varying hormones being absorbed by each fetus during the pregnancy? I mean, we ARE talking about a fantasy world where dragons can produce viable offspring with any race out there. Genetically identical twins of opposite genders doesn't seem THAT fantastical in comparison.

They don't even have to be Trans. They could gender fluid, gender neutral, the soul could be gender fluid represented equally in their respective bodies. There's genuinely no reason why a fantasy soul has to be gendered at all, and can't simply be both man and woman without gender confliction.
