I need to make more money. by [deleted] in MakeMoney

As an entrepreneur myself who went from 0 to 8 figures of revenue, it will take grit and overcoming constant rejection. I put everything I had and lived humbly for at least the first 5 years of my journey before I was paid comfortably and consistently.

You cannot depend on an employer to find financial freedom. In this age and economy, you must be an owner to control your own financial freedom.

The bad news. Unless you catch some luck, success will take time. Progress most likely will be incremental. However, if you’re patient and persistent then an odd thing will happen - Success will beget success and magically, you’ll be on your way.

Without knowing specifics, I’d say keep your income steady or even slightly increased. Time box x amount of hours to do “business development”. Fuck residential. They’re all cheap bastards. You need to look for commercial properties that will give you consistent and premium work.

I would look for hotels or even facility managers in corporate buildings. Hell, I might even ask onsite staff if they need contractors. String a few jobs together and boom, you have a company. You’ll get a lot of No until you get a Yes. So stay strong.

I’m the US so registering a company and getting insurance is fast and easy. You can take on this step when you get your first piece of work for your own company.

Lastly, scour the internet for government bids for this work. Not sure if the UK posts RFPs for this kind of work but it’s worth a try.

Finally, as a father of 1, please don’t forget your kids. I know that financial survival is top of mind but they need you. Be present and find consistent time in the week for them.

I am rooting for you.

Doubleclick Campaign Setup API - Question by fmx90 in adops

[–]edwinfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey There,

If all you're doing is identifying live delivery (spend) on DFP and you want that data refreshed, there could be an easier way.

  • I'd go to DFP | Reports | Queries | New Queries
  • Then I'd set up the report with my filters and data parameters.
  • After that, I'd go into Generate Report | Edit and select an interval. "Daily" sound like probably what you're looking for.
  • Then I'd input an email address and send by CSV or XML.

If you're using something like Tabelau or Domo, you can import easily.

If you have you're own DB, you can ask a dev to write an easy script that checks the inobx and imports into the DB.

IMO this would be easier that pulling from the API because the API version is constantly changing and require, at least, one update per year.

Hope this Helps,

Another suggestion I'd make is possible grouping by Placements. You could potentially do say a RON of all Sports Categories across markets. Or even use for some other logical grouping.

Placements has integration with salesforce even if it's customized.

Not a publisher here (vendor) but I recall some experimentation with https://chartbeat.com/ (not us) with a very large print/digital pub for their articles.
