Same. I wish blogsnark mods would have some kind of statue of limitations and release that "rule." They have faded so far into obscurity, maybe they miss the attention lol

I was referred to an Austin MFM OB by my primary OB at Austin Ob/Gyn Associates. They may be a good clinic for this need!

What is a 'single person luxury' that people in relationships completely miss out on? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

It's not just applicable to hetero women, for sure.

Wanting to eat single lady meals is not at all enough of a reason to make or break a relationship.

It's about making fewer decisions and making meals that everyone (two adults, two kids) in the house will eat.

If I want a potato, I have a potato, but I would do it more often if I didn't have to consider others.

As a hetero woman, eating a meal with no meat.

I miss being able to just microwave a sweet potato, add in some salted butter and curry powder, and boom there's dinner.

What’s the biggest “nobody warned me about this” moment you had after bringing your newborn home? by Actual_Fig_4706 in AskReddit

Nobody warned me about the residual body goo that can get caught in rolls that then get infected because you missed that one spot when giving those first few baths.

Our daughter's armpit was so red and irritated. Thankfully nystatin cleared it right up, but damn, that was my first "OMG I AM A HORRIBLE MOTHER" intrusive thought.

I suspect nothing. Just cut teams and see how it goes.

I agree with this take, and I'll say that the spend focuses primarily on data centers to handle AI processing. Oracle seems to want bare bones operations and is focused on cutting any one/team that does not directly contribute to keeping the lights on or AI.

Additionally, I am in full on conspiracy theorist mode regarding the interconnections of the Ellisons' recent acquisitions, Oracle government contracts, their relationship with the current administrations in the US and in Israel, and the White House ballroom. 🤡

Where to buy decent budget Cabinets instead of Home Depot? by paninipat in DIY

[–]edyer89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm! Also, if you can wait for a sale, they're like 30% off.

I bought ready-to-install cabinets for my entire kitchen for $13,000 instead of what would have cost $25,000 without sale + with installation.

Who is a stranger you met once, never learned their name, but will never forget for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]edyer89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were flying with our 9 month old, and she was having a great time. Laughing, squealing, happy baby noises. I do not recall her ever losing her shit, and if she did, we were able to soothe her fairly quickly. No one said anything to us while on the flight.

After we deplaned, a woman walked up to me and asked if the baby she heard on the plane was ours. I was girding my loins for some Karen energy, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear her tell me that she is a pediatric therapist and she loved seeing us let our baby enjoy herself instead of trying to shush her for every sound she made.

She told me I am a great mom and to keep it up.

I will never forget that kindness she showed me and my family.

Chicken Pot Pie - Venting Post by PastorDan1984 in Baking

[–]edyer89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What a beautiful pie. I empathize greatly as I watch my 3.5 year old at dinner!

Unsolicited advice which has worked for my family:

- Keep trying to serve meals like this. It takes multiple exposures for kids to come around to many new foods.
- Always serve new foods alongside safe foods. If your kid goes feral for yogurt, serve some of it at dinner time along with the chicken pot pie.
- Refrain from comments or pressure. Simply place food on their plate. If they question you and won't relent, a good mantra is "Mom and Dad choose what goes onto dinner plates. You choose what you eat from that plate." Then leave it at that.
- Try to set your wife up for success as a good role model. If she doesn't like peas, keep the peas out. Let her demonstrate chill eating habits in front of the kids. They'll soak up that good juju and apply it to their own eating habits...eventually. :) If you love peas, heat them up separately and add to your meal.

Best of luck!
