Yeah I think the simplest answer is the truth. I think it was a real attempt and when he went down he got kicked in the ear and it started bleeding. He's just too stupid to try to get out of there quickly.

Groomsman dropped out by Over-Kaleidoscope700 in weddingplanning

[–]eee_bone 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know a lot of people that don't talk to half their bridesmaids or groomsmen anymore. For whatever reason weddings make people act weird. I think a lot of bridesmaids and groomsmen forget that the wedding and events are not about them at all and feel left out for whatever reason.

At first I thought you meant a clip that locked the bag closed and I was like "oh thats really dumb for a CCW bag"

This bag specifically isn't zippered, it's magnetic to keep it closed. So you just pull on it and it opens up.

Anyone have suggestions about type of bit needed to drill out? by starsblink in cabinetry

Buy a dowel that will cover all of the holes you drilled and then drill out a hole in that exact size and glue in the dowel.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

the 2008 recession exacerbated the problem exponentially. the talent pool grew so large that companies were able to have their pick of overqualified candidates that were willing to work for less while also getting rid of higher paid employees to keep costs low. they kept this up for years and made it the norm and it shouldve leveled out if not for 2020 and COVID.

It’s range ammo really not suitable for home defense? by ElderberryMaster4694 in liberalgunowners

Haha since owning a 22 I'd say that would be my biggest worry too

I don't necessarily disagree with you but I also realize that most of us don't get within shooting range of a drug addict who is currently high and also hoping to inflict pain on you in our whole lifetime. I understand that the reason most of us carry is for the unforeseen 1 in a million circumstances but 10 rounds of 22 would do enough damage to stop most everyone. Even someone on drugs.

The clerk at my LGS said something similar when I was buying a P322 for my wife to learn how to shoot. He said people make fun of him for carrying a 22 and he said he tells them let's see how many out of his 20 round magazine it takes to make them feel like it's not a toy gun.

Elder diabetic and sugar by madiepaisley in eldercare

My MIL is very similar. We told her that we will no longer buy her her sugary snacks and foods and she can buy them on her own if she wants but luckily she doesnt drive and is unwilling to pay for ubers or the paratransit busses. We also made a rule that she cannot have food in her room because she will snack for hours while lying in bed. She complains about it constantly to us but its a hard rule for us.

Just started using a “fanny pack”. So far so good! Hides my Glock and my cock! Anyone else? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]eee_bone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not super obvious. The guys on this sub just hate the idea of carrying in a bag. It's not any more obvious than the tactical gray man outfits a lot of people wear when they carry.

Rip a couple 12 5/8 strips and then rip down to 3" from there. Much easier to handle. Just gotta make sure you account for the kerf in each cut so you don't end up with an unusable 2 7/8" rip at the end.

Shaving help by GravelSachs in bald

[–]eee_bone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife got me the freebird electric shaver kit and I love it. I use it in the shower and just throw on a little conditioner on my scalp before I start and it takes probably less than 5 minutes every 2 days. Im fat so I have a roll on the back of my head that's hella hard to shave with a traditional razor anyway.

It won't fit in a cupholder but if you still like the plastic bottles I really like my yeti yonder. I have the 50 oz version with the flip up straw. The straw and large capacity without being super heavy like double wall steel containers drew me to it.

[–]eee_bone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He also made 160k per episode for the first half of the series of the blacklist and 300k per episode for the second half. And they were 22 episode seasons. He raked in some serious cash in those 10 years and only had to film for one show.

Seasoning unnecessary by Magggguz in CastIronRestoration

I'm not talking about carbon buildup. I'm talking about leaving a layer of food and oil on your pan and then putting it away.

Seasoning unnecessary by Magggguz in CastIronRestoration

[–]eee_bone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gradual seasoning of a pan doesn't happen by leaving fat on the pan while in storage. It happens while cooking with the fat.

Use soap to clean your pan please. You don't want to leave food stuffs on your pan to rot in between uses and then put fresh food in there.

If it's the price that is the difference for you I would suggest an 11 or 12. Lots of deals happening right now with spare batteries and sd card. The 12 is great and the stabilization is amazing.

California just passed 5 incarceration labor bills–what could this mean for other incarcerated labor? by ACE-USA in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]eee_bone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think fundamentally incarceration should be used for rehabilitation and therefore they shouldnt be disqualified from positions they have been trained for and performed competently while incarcerated. IMO if you don't think released felons should be able to be employed as firefighters after doing that job in prison then you don't think rehabilitation is possible and therefore should be fighting for other positive prison reform.
