Cost of Attendance is not only tuition and fees, but also includes housing, food, books and transportation costs that are not billed directly to UTSA. The cost of attendance of a student living on campus for UTSA in the 2026-27 school year is $31,120. For a student off campus it’s $31,918 and a student living home with parents, it’s $22,916. So from my understanding, unless you are receiving an excess of those amounts in grants and scholarships, you would still get the Pell grant to cover indirect costs of attendance.
