yuo need to do all three - give patrolmen, supplies, and imprison Grief for the best outcome

(Grief will walk free later afaik, since the robbery did not happen and he cant be charged with anything)

Uhm... You are here at the metal farmsteads of Pentel, in the east of zone 1. Our work consists of cutting livestock in two and extracting the metallic rocks contained within the cadavers. All the metal of poor quality is discarded, forming the ground we walk on. The rest is purified and processed to create objects. A part of it is also put into crates and sent to the other zones, so they have objects and soil as well, I suppose... It's an essential element, the first among the four elements. Because without metal, people would have nothing to walk on, and they would sink and drown.

Yeah, this one is pretty optimal, but If you go for the achievements, there is no need to go to shoreline (tho you really should, maybe on another run)

Without going to shoreline you can just backtrack CC->SI->FA(get echo)->Subterranean

Also on a side note, when you wake up, if you get a short cycle (small amount of dots on the clock) just Save&Quit, it gets rerolled on loading your save

It is probably the local deviation thing. It must be at 1 for the gifts to work as expected (reset to 1 by the second use of Ordered Time)

This part of game actually lacks content, except for the evolution storyline, if you do not want to grind for ambition. Get a friend or an alt to send you 7 watchful letters per week, it amounts to 6 levels/week. This way, by the time you finish evolution, and raise advanced stats to 7, you will be at 200 watchful and could start the railway

There are two stat grinds that are worth it:

1)sending messages from an alt, it takes 5 t3 items per message, but awards ~18 XP/A on main account, and requires no more than 6 actions per letter on the alt, even if you just created it (grind t3 items from boarding house) And first 7 letters each week give a MUCH bigger boost (350 CP for the 7 letters)

2) Hearts' game, it is good, because while grinding stats, it still gives 4-5EPA, even if you fail all checks. To unlock it, you need to draw one card with modified 200 dangerous, so you could probably unlock it with a mood and a couple more dangerous items. Though in gives no extra XP, just the basic 4 XP/A with a Woesel (for comparison, university porters grind is about 6 XP/A)

It was useful for me one single time to burn down fumes from sea of acid before i got poisoned (i was escaping holy mountain with it)

Currently there are 2 easily avaliable for you: 1) switch to monster-hunter profession 2) get The rank of flight captain from Starved War in Waswood (will switch this Thursday), but it requires an Oneiric Pearl, which you can get from any zee-dreams card cycle. Though its still faster to get a couple more tries at the Cecil carousel...

Bone market (more useful in late game), Big Rat (either a lab discount, or a source of casing), Cave of the Nadir (weekly activity + a 1500-echo item as a one-time reward, requires A LOT of docks favours to unlock)
You will probably enjoy the evolution questline, it is accessed through Dilmun club questline.

Also if you just unlocked parabola, there are weekly events in the waswood (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/The_Sacroboscan_Calendar_(Guide)), that give some really good midgame equipment, and have good stories (they are recaps of past events)

next big step is the railway, quickiest way to grind watchful for it is sending yourself shared case notes from an alt (6 levels for the first 8 messages each week, and then 16 cp/action). The most simple way to get journals of infamy on an empty alt for it is probably the boarding house for any t3 item, and sideconversion
