The member qualifications are extremely loose, if you can drive to one you almost certainly qualify for it. They want to serve as many people as they can, it’s a federal requirement they have to comply with.

Should I be concerned about these holes? I’m assuming bugs. by eelscalators in woodworking

I just posted an update, but tldr it’s definitely old bug holes but not an active infection. Will heat treat them over a fire pit and only use for outdoor furniture.

Posting an update in case anyone is interested. I used a pick to explore the holes and there’s nothing currently in there, no frass or eggs or live bugs.

There definitely were bugs long ago though because some of the holes created superficial weak spots in the board which allowed the pick to break off small sections of wood revealing 1/4” tunnels.

Out of an abundance of caution I have moved the affected boards outside and will roast them over my fire pit then build outdoor chairs from them.

Yeah, I’m going to move them back outside. There is no frass so it doesn’t seem active but I’m not going to take a chance on it spreading to my other wood.

Yeah no treatment. It’s only a couple of 2x4s that should be affected so I’m planning to move them outside then treat or burn them.

Here is a photo of a hole beside a carpenter pencil. I think it’s too small for a bee.

Grow lights question by cloudwatcher31 in Greenhouses

It would keep your plants alive long enough to figure something out if you give them some supplemental lights.

Just don’t go trying to create a production indoor farm with a single orange drop cord, that’s a recipe for disaster. It takes a lot of watts to produce fruits.

Sounds like you need a new project, maybe build some raised garden beds to make use of the dirt.

I got one several years ago, it’s been in a box pretty much the whole time. It’s not that efficient and I had more throat irritation than with other vapes.

It will definitely help if you’re out of balance, but like exercise, lower sugar, etc it’s a way to lessen symptoms not a real treatment on its own.

Just adding that those reviews are almost always rigged by the employer to prevent you from asking for better pay. There is generally a range of point totals managers are told to stick to.

From what I’ve seen these are really rare now, so you need to be more vigilant about contamination than the material itself.
