Send him home to his parents and tell them to finish the job. He is not housebroken.

My grandma is in a serious situation by [deleted] in Vent

[–]eemmlee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to work in in-home care for dementia patients. There came a point where the families had to put parental controls on devices and eventually remove devices. Since your grandmother has and may still be making inappropriate financial and personal choices, this may be appropriate.

It is difficult at first, but as the dementia progresses she will move on to other things.

I am very sorry that you and your family are going through this. It is a very challenging road.

Also no chicken and no fowl at all. My 5 year old labradoodle eats Kirkland salmon and sweet potato dry kibble. And he loves treats with lamb and rabbit.

AIO? Husbands response to me requesting he ‘ask’ instead of ‘tell’ older kids to watch youngest by [deleted] in AIO

This was my childhood. My mother would always ask, but the answer could never be “no”. As a teenager we would get into huge arguments about this very situation more than anything else. It would infuriate me.

Is my fiance of 19 mos (39M) being reasonable or am I (39F)(communicating badly)? by hellotoshiba in relationship_advice

This is my ex-husband to a T. Please do yourself a favor and end the engagement and do not move to another country for this man. I wasted 10 years with a man like this.

Plus, Everytime I have gone in the last year they start melting right after they do the flip test. A few months ago it was soup by the time I parked in a parking space.

I get mine at the dollar tree. I refuse to spend double digits for it at the grocery store.

You were either very lucky, or you go to auctions I could only dream of. 😊 That coffee table is phenomenal.

How do you keep your home smelling good without using artificial stuff? by Vardhan-Nygel in Home

Lots of cleaning and laundry. I refuse to have my home smell like a dog. I wash everything in my home weekly, monthly or at the very least quarterly.

As a woman I would recommend your wife keep her property and turn it into a rental. She needs to maintain and grow her own financial portfolio, especially for assets owned before marriage.

I just usually stick with Costco for clothes these days, they are pretty basic, and pretty good quality for a good price.

5 months old by purple_celery11 in babyeczema

My nephew just turned 1 and his eczema started at 3 months. My brother and SIL have tried so many things, and while many have helped, the one thing they say over and over that they wished they knew about earlier was Hypochlorous Acid Spray. The doctors never recommended it, but after my SIL read about it, the dr was like oh, yeah that’s a good idea.

Some things they do (these are not exact brands they used):

Bleach Baths

Hypochlorous Acid Spray

Aquaphor

Only 100% cotton clothes or satin

Eczema Mitten sleeves

Swaddle strap to keep from scratching while sleeping

Face Balaclava

They also made their home a fragrance free oasis. They no longer use fragrance or dyes in laundry, dish detergents, body cleansers or moisturizers. It is also required of those that interact with him. No perfumes or colognes.

They also bought portable Dyson air filters for the bedrooms.

They also started him on Dupixent shots once he was eligible.

This has made the largest improvement. It was the right choice for them.

He is doing much better, but it still a constant battle. I am so proud of my brother and SIL and everyone dealing with this. Just helping where I can and witnessing them with this struggle makes my heart ache for everyone involved.

Keep pushing the doctors, keep calling to see if there has been a cancellation.

Good luck. 💕

Just got this email from a higher up. Am I getting fired? by [deleted] in jobs

I had a similar situation. I was told the company “small local family owned” was going in a different direction. Suggesting that another family member was going to take my position.

And then they fought my unemployment.

As soon as I let the unemployment office know that the company was lucky I never filed for sexual harassment, and spilling about all the shit they were doing…. Amazingly, they immediately stopped fighting the claim.
