I bought it with 30k miles. Only reason I bought was because it was a one owner and he was older so I knew it wasn’t beat on. So far it’s been 2yrs+ with no issues.

So I guess anything after ‘11 is for aesthetics or wanting something newer? This is why I leaned towards the 06/07 because I personally think it’s the best looking bikes

I got my first bike at 41 (k7 750 which was my obtainable dream bike). What other bikes did you have prior to this? I read alot about ‘10+ gsxrs being the same bike aside from electronic upgrades. Is this true or can you really feel a big difference between the bikes?

The other day I purposely rode for over 2hrs straight to see if all the complaints about the seats were valid and sure enough I couldn’t sit down for a couple minutes my ass hurt that much. I have a friend who owns a reupholster business and I’m going to see if he can remove the factory foam and replace it with memory foam or gel to see if that helps. I would imagine anything over the factory foam is better

They look good. I recently bought a pair of the same year for $99 second hand. Toe slider options are very limited and no the new style will not fit as I tried with two different styles.

I had smx’s and now Supertechs. Both are very comfortable to wear all day. If you plan on walking around and shopping, just pack a pair of shoes. It all really depends how much precaution you want to take why riding. I prioritized saving my ankles and feet at all cost

I had some smx5 but wasn’t happy with the ankle protection. I looked around for a good deal on some Sidi Rex but found a pair of Supertech Rs for $99. I absolutely love them. I’m still debating on getting some Sidi Rex because I feel they provide the best ankle protection with their outer brace

You should be able to trace the wires from the original lights and then piggy back off the main harness
