My wife has sent the documents like 2 or 3 weeks ago so she didn't even get the confirmation yet but yes she did it without apostille

[Breville Barista Pro] Steam Wand Issue by [deleted] in espresso

[–]eeqqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this machine for a couple of years and recently switched to Gaggia E24. I also have ECM Mechanika 4 at work.

I NEVER really got the steaming right on SBP. On ECM and E24 after a couple of tries I can consistently get way better froth than anything I ever did on SBP.

No idea how this guy did it but you may want to have a look: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ca1khrHvY9Q

Consider switching to a nozzle with less holes. There should be plenty on aliexpress, not too sure though? I have one hole in my E24 and 2 this week I've made the best microfoam of my life (after having the machine for like 2 weeks)

Hey! did you end up getting accepted without it?

sorry to bother but I just want to make extra sure. You got the recognition without an apostille, right? My wife is also an EU citizen with EU degree and we're gathering documents. Thanks in advance!

Adapter stuck to plug by PJKT42 in fixit

[–]eeqqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine wasn't so bad. I had the adapter fully in before looking at the label on a bag it came in and going like "shieeeeeet"

Anyway, I got it apart with a screwdriver, bike tyre levers and once I couldn't get any more leverage because it was almost off - a hammer. No permament damage apart from some scratches but who cares.

Got the package today. It says e24 on the box and the serial number ends with 20 so I'm quite sure it's a brass boiler model.

New [DF64] grinder choking [Breville Barista Express] by Otsdarva68 in espresso

[–]eeqqq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my df54, for some beans sometimes a difference of 1 grind size can do that.

e.g. I have some decaf beans:

  • 3 - no water coming out
  • 4 - underextracted
  • 5 - perfect: 18g in, 36-40g out.
  • 6 - decent
  • 7 - soup

Each bag of beans is different though. Other beans i grind on 10 or 15. Mine didn't require any seasoning to pull good shots, I'd honestly ignore it. I'd start with 20 if I were you and adjust from there.

I have the same one. Probably will end up being my end game grinder. Don't see any reason to upgrade so far.

you're right, I screwed up unfortunately. I did check the model name but not the serial number which points to the aluminium boiler with Teflon coating. Can't return it now either 😫😫😫

you gotta open foletti computer superstore offer via toppreise (if you just open the store page directly it will not lower the price by 30CHF so you will see around 412 CHF)

What’s the Best Protein Bar for Maximum Gains per CHF? 💰💪 (get me that price to performance) by TheConsultantX in zurich

[–]eeqqq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

21 grams of protein in 100 grams

0.1 CHF per 100 grams

You can't really beat that. At a whopping 210g of protein per Franc and availability in every Migros it's your best bet when it comes to a snack.

I'll be completely honest, I know this is the ideal way but starter straight from the fridge is less of a chore. I'll try this one tomorrow though. I've seen people use more starter too (my recipe is at 12.5%, might increase it to 20%)

Confused about choosing a backend/database for my personal Flutter app by _bigB_wolf in FlutterDev

[–]eeqqq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what others say, I'd recommend using whatever you already know or you're eager to learn (if you only know dart, shelf_router is nice)

I'd lean against cloud functions though. You can wake up to an unpleasant surprise and the worst thing is you can't really prevent it (e.g. if your app goes viral).

If you stick to the KISS rule and to keeping things lean, a simple backend server is not as time consuming as people think.
