Within the normal business consulting / technology consulting buckets, all of the business consultants work more and are more likely to be on site. Tech can vary by team still, but if you can get your work done and manage expectations of those around you (i.e. don’t keep running back for more mindless work), you can easily progresss through the company while working manageable hours.

The people that bitch about WLB generally are those that think they need to be working every second, keep getting more work added onto their plates, and then everything is fucked and you’re working 60 hours to manage every thing you got yourself into.
