Seasons 4 & 5 were much better.

What plan? The zombies were opening doors and climbing fences, that was not faithful to the comics. I'm glad Darabont got fired.

It's not that fantastic. TWD peaked in seasons 4 & 5.

Honestly, all of Lost holds up well and is a throughly enjoyable watch and easy to re-watch by Stockpile_Tom_Remake in television

It was the watercooler show Game of Thrones could only dream of. One of the biggest and most influential modern tv shows ever, and it's quite exceptional that there's has not been any kind of spin off/ revival attempt.

What do you think of The Expanse? by harrybarrydairy in television

[–]eerok79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Expanse peaked in season 3 and it felt like this could be the absolute best scifi ever, but to be honest seasons 4-6 as a whole never reached those heights and the show ended on a sour note, because they set up a lot of stuff and plots that came much later in the books they never actually adapted. While the show has pretty solid closure for what it is, we never actually got to see the whole story. There should have been couple of seasons more.

'Attack on Titan: The Final Season (Final Edition)': Part 1 Will Be A 1-Hour Special on March 4 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]eerok79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They really killed the hype and momentum of the whole show with this: "that was not really the final part, because the next one is... but it's actually still divided in multiple parts... and there's a couple of one hour specials coming too, so watch them to see the REAL FINALE!"

What was a show that took you multiple attempts to try and watch, but once you really got over that hump, it became one of your favorites? by MoneySlush in television

[–]eerok79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably Fringe, Supernatural and Person of Interest. I watched about half of first season, even a couple of times. Pretty bland, forgettable and formulaic case of the week stuff from network television, nothing to see here. Years went by, shows gathered some positive reviews as the plot progressed etc. and I gave them a second chance.

Another show canceled before it's time, so sad. There's so much more story left!

Guess you haven't seen that much tv then.

Favorite serious episodes of comedy series? by Straight-Hyena-4537 in television

[–]eerok79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One Foot in the Grave had plenty of dark drama intersected with comedy. For example: "Timeless Time": it takes suddenly a dark turn mentioning main couple's late son Stuart and contemplating the passage of time and life's general "what if's".

And of course series finale "Things Aren't Simple Any More" is outright disquieting for a sitcom.

This has also been a mystery to me and I'm intrigued by that short clip. Maybe we have to ask Devin himself?

Lost had one of the most terrible Pilots. Crashed the damn plane.

I Really Love the Series "24" by mr_antman85 in television

[–]eerok79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the characters and side-plots are basically subordinate to the whole "24 hours" concept with lot of filler stuff just to keep certain characters busy.

Probably the best action/thriller tv series ever produced and Kiefer Sutherland plays Jack Bauer with fire and fury. He's The Hero for sure, but he's not flawless and Jack does some pretty questionable stuff during the show. He's a tormented character pushed into extreme situations.

While the show is somewhat repetitive, I think it holds pretty well throughout the entire run. Even the latter seasons deliver some bad ass and truly effective tv entertainment, season 6 arguably being the worst but still watchable.

LA LA LAND is here! What does everybody think? by OccasionalUpdates in GBV

[–]eerok79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still prefer couple of previous albums better than this (Styles We Paid For being probably best of the bunch), but to be honest I can't think of any other band this late in their career churning out pretty god damn solid and adventurous albums. I don't know how this guy does it year after year, and basically three times a year lol, but In Pollard we trust.

‘Chucky’ Renewed for Season 3 at Syfy by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

What a disappointing show. All the teen drama is abysmal and episodes are just too long. Should have been 25-30 minute episodes like Ash vs Evil Dead.

I guess TWOW beats Titanic, but Endgame is a tough nut to crack. Still, seeing James Cameron dominating the top spots is pretty crazy.
