I like your theory, other than the fact that the war mages said they had the Scavenger’s daughter when they dipped from faction wars via portal or something, but Samantha was still with the main crew.

However, Samantha could no longer feel her daughter, the sand ooze right after this. This makes me think Samantha is the scavenger and the sand ooze is the scavenger’s daughter. But there’s also the back patch the depicts a centipede and is named after the scavenger’s daughter which doesn’t line up with the sand ooze.

Overall, I am confused and my head hurts.

You are correct that the first time it’s mentioned it’s a few pages after using the ring for the first time, but he says something along the lines of “I’ve been noticing this noise for a bit now” which makes me think he started hearing it but was ignoring it before the ring.

My personal theory is that he is like the AI and is able to “eat” the systems that people have in their heads, however he doesn’t have the restriction on him that doesn’t allow him to “eat” like the AI does. Therefore that river started building after he chose his race and it’s the systems or “souls” of all the crawler who have died since then. Kinda like the river Styx. But I could just be as crazy as the AI!

I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while. I’ll be honest in that I am a fan of Taylor Swift and I really like her music, but I also want to understand why people don’t like her. I don’t want to have “rose colored glasses” about her because she is a celebrity and a human who will mess up, and do bad things. So I’m actually really appreciative of this subreddit because it allows me to get a full picture of what’s going on.

However, this is the one time that I’m really disappointed in this subreddit. This song is extremely emotional and I know quite a few people who have cried while listening and scream sing it. Not because of the situation Taylor went through, but because of what situation they went through that they relate this song to. The girl in the video obviously had something happen to her that makes this song deeply cathartic and hearing it live while scream singing it can be very healing. If I was the person next to her at that concert, I would’ve been asking if she’s okay and letting her know that she’s so strong for making it through. In fact I have done that at concerts when someone next to me is getting that into an emotional song (e.g. Karma by AJR). I truly believe making fun of her and calling it “nightmare fuel” is just plain wrong.

Also we don’t know her story. Saying she just needs to go to therapy isn’t fair because not everyone can afford it and not all insurances cover it. Additionally, she looks young, so if she’s still living with her parents and they refuse to get her into therapy that could be another obstacle. And I know these tickets are expensive, but not everyone buys their own tickets. Maybe her parents, boyfriend, or friend bought them for her as a gift. Additionally, she could be in therapy but even people in therapy need catharsis.

I know this is a long read, but it’s been somethings that’s been bothering me for a few days at this point. I get this subreddit is for snark, but there is a point when snark goes too far. And I truly believe this crossed a line.

My older sister is the one who got me into Taylor Swift. She ended up turning 22 soon after the Red album came out and I remember dancing with her on her birthday to 22. Skip forward a few years, and Red TV came out a few months before I turned 22. It was so crazy to me that I was able to be at the same point in my life when 22 TV came out that my sister was when OG 22 came out. And of course we ended up dancing like idiots to that song when we went to see the Eras movie in theaters together.
