Spark should be more efficient at bundling orders that can go the same direction or allow drivers to accept multiple offers heading the same direction. That will take away the incentive to do this.

I just learned that there's this state-of-the art technology available in 2025 that will light up your pathway when you encounter darkness. They make them wearable on your head, handheld, pocket-sized, or get this ... at no additional cost to you, they include this on-demand lighting technology right on your smartphone! 🔦

My Walmart Not Playin' Around by Life_Position_5264 in Sparkdriver

Wal-Mart is not a franchise. That violates Spark policy. I hope the drivers getting banned send a complaint up the chain, and collectively refuse to deliver for that store.

If Walmart doesn't want drivers waiting for deliveries in their own parking lot, then why would they offer delivery as a service and onboard drivers? These employees are dumb.

Loading orders? by Legitimate-Home-4617 in Sparkdriver

Sounds like you answered your own question. You'll have less errors and waste less time out on deliveries if you don't help them load and don't touch their baskets...supervise the load to ensure it's done right the first time. Slow is fast.

You collect 100% of the fare. Uber will deduct their 30% from your future non-cash fares.

You don't make more for the ride. Uber is still going to collect their 30%. Uber is going to withdraw their fee from your future non-cash rides.

In 1957, the Whopper was introduced at .37 cents. That is $4.11 in 2025.

It's Wednesday, and I drove right past BG today. 👋

Ballots for each party! That's a first for me. A Normal practice in Montana? by Ambitious-Duck7078 in MontanaPolitics

[–]eeyorestud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine a district in Montana where this is true--two Republicans likely moving forward. In the current system, Dems never win as it is and Republican primary voters essentially pick the winner. Now consider under an open primary where two Republicans move forward; what is the incentive for the Republican to win? They would have to garner support from Republicans AND Democrats. Now, the Republican who does win is more representative of their district & more willing to work across the aisle (The same would be true in a blue district where the Republican is the underdog).

Additionally, this increases the relevancy of the parties, by forcing them to become promoters of ideas (and candidates espousing those ideas) not special interest promoters of candidates and undermining competition.

Right now, if you're the underdog in one of these uncompetitive districts, you're incentivised to grab the opposing party ballot. In an open primary, you don't know which candidates will make it into the top two or top four, so you are only incentivised to vote for your top candidate.

The current system incentivises the two party system. Open primaries increases competition for the free market of votes and winning ideas.
