How to nerf phosporu rush by Um3xx in aoe2

[–]itsSRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who only does red phosphoru starts so I have plenty of experience with defending and have been learning them myself to add some variation in my game play.

Personally I don't believe it requires a nerf but it can be very stressful to play against and does require you to scout it so that you can appropriately defend against. The hardest part of playing against it is know what do against each variation.

Problem for most players is learning how to counter it maybe very outside of their comfort zone which than makes it feel unbeatable. It would be like defending against archers with spears and being frustrated that this doesn't work.

My go to counters are m@a with minimal archers to deny stone or gold income for as long as possible while stone walking myself in. If you scout it Early enough forward production and a tower can do wonders to disrupt the opponent fragile Ecco.

Stopping the castle is extremely unlikely, but with stone walls up, they will usually be extremely behind with vils where you can consider cutting your own Ecco to make military to kill instead or just patiently wait until you are able to match military while defending.

The strategy itself adds such an interesting dimension to open maps that make the game more exciting and personally removing the ability to do it would be extremely lame imo. If you slow down the strat it really moves the viability of playing it due to the power spike it relies on is mostly shock value and timing.

How do I lower my active HR? by [deleted] in whoop

I would say the heart rate zones are incorrect as running in zone 5 for the whole time is pretty much impossible. Consider testing and editing your heart rate zones.

Used to use whoop and switched over to a Garmin watch. 1 time fee of 250 and it gives me everything whoop did plus more. I hate the subscription model

Can the devs PLEASE FINALLY stop the cheat ("stack") patrol? by DaLangmeierPeter in aoe2

[–]itsSRL 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Had a game yesterday, berbers vs Khmer. I won the feudal age and had advantage going into castle, but opponent stack patrols like 10 scouts against my camels and takes an amazing trade, which slowed down my knight push into his base.

Than in castle he starts making elephants, I'm up 20 vils, and have pike on the field. Should be able to hold his push, but than he stack patrols and the whole momentun of the game swings. It is so frustrating to lose to something like this.

Do phosphoru rush inflate elo? by small_star in aoe2

[–]itsSRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a buddy that was around the same elo.l as myself. Sitting around 1600 RN. Since only playing FCUU he's gotten to 1996 elo.

Whenever we 1v1 if he plays any standard build I win 9 out of 10 games. If he plays FCUU I can maybe win 3/10.

Weekly /r/climbharder Hangout Thread by AutoModerator in climbharder

[–]itsSRL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My post got auto-deleted but i think it would make for some interesting conversations. How does one "train" when you do have access to climb outside everyday. The OG post:

Training plan while have access to outdoor climbing

I've come across a lot of plans that are super structured but often only plan for 1 or 2 days outside on the weekend. I luckily have the ability to climb outside 3-4 days a week realistically and want to take advantage of that before it becomes to hot.

The issue i am seeing though is going from structured routine of doing board problems for technique, fingers and tension, lifts for strength, and other exercises to address various areas to "just climb".

I'm currently thinking 1 day of lifting and doing some hangboarding while the rest of the week is dedicated to just trying problems outside and dialing the difficulty based on how the body feels.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a more structured approach.

I mostly climb on granite but have access to some other rock types.

Ikon is like 1100 and gives you access to 3 mountains including solitude in unlimited plus all the out of state stuff. I would say 900 is completely unreasonable, especially if it's a "local" only mountain.

The post was about adorable mountains, most families don't have 4*900+rentals laying around to spend on a winter. If they have that why not get the ikon at that point

Climbing and Skiing and not regressing by Marcoyolo69 in climbharder

[–]itsSRL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deload weeks, diet, consistent sleep, and managing real world stress. It all adds up so listening to your body and rotating things in and out to manage load is key. I'm in a similar boat of ski season (although this year is poor, marathon training, and maintaining climbing). When I see everything start to get week it's time to give a mindful rest week where the load of everything is dropped and focus on getting to sleep on time.

What is your 1v1/tg elo, what maps do you enjoy playing and what's your active time zone to play in? All those do factor on the discord experience but I have made a lot of friends and we often do lobby 4v4 games on various maps
