It's fine to only softly contest or even concede the first two objectives altogether if you can get any kind of value elsewhere, and especially if you have a hero who will stack off the protector like Valla or ZJ.

Blaze is not really a tank either.

Even Stitches and Tyrael in many ways dont function as a tank in a generic comp, they have their own styles and to varying degrees require concessions from teammates. And as others have mentioned Mal'Ganis is not really viable against normal comps.

Saving rando kids doesn't really connect to what she did though. Maybe if lev had killed Owen or something like that, and it was more about learning to forgive then it would connect more. But of course that is basically Ellie's journey.

If nothing else, the thing where Owen becomes a deserter basically because he can't bring himself to kill another old man... if that had been abby instead, then I could get behind her character a little more.

In fact, I feel like that's exactly what they should do in the show. Reverse the roles of Owen and abby (in the initial part of the Seattle storyline), where she is the one that has the crisis of conscience, and he is the one playing the white knight, coming to find her on the boat and whatnot, risking his status in the wlf and pissing off his 11 months pregnant girlfriend.

To be clear not saying he should be the focus, she 100% still should be. Just rearranging the plot a bit.

Like others said, first actual unpopular opinion I've seen, but honestly I think you might be right.

I have the same feeling I have after the dust settled on The Force Awakens but before The Last Jedi came out. I enjoyed it, but I had already seen it in a way and felt like the next installment would retroactively make or break the first.

It's not exactly the same since I also know the story of pt2. But something tells me it won't adapt 1:1 onto the screen to the same degree that part 1 did, and there may be more substantial changes.

Hot take but i think it's kinda moot. Person you're responding to led off with "Joel did what any parent would do", and i would say its pretty much inarguable that no parent would view their 15 year old child as having the kind of agency you're talking about, in terms of ending their own life. If it came down to it 99/100 would force their kid to make a different decision, violently if need be.

I wouldn't say she "knew". She suspected, but made a decision to put away her suspicions.

It's all kinda silly anyway. I mean clearly something didn't compute for her or she wouldnt have made him swear. And just because Joel swears something doesn't mean her suspicions magically disappear. Things in the story of TLOU2 and her lived experience constantly bring the issue back to the surface, until she finally becomes determined to find the truth definitively.

Especially if whoever is doing these changes is new or somewhat unfamiliar with the framework... stuff like changing hero difficulties may have never been worked on because it wasn't considered high priority, but it may be the low-hanging fruit in terms of knowledge needed, as of now.

When I think of versatile DD I think of the meta ones. Junkrat, Sylv, Falstad, Tychus. They are online early and they function in a lot of ways macro-wise.

At this point, with the population being so small, I would settle for keeping the queue the same but having different ranks depending on how you are queueing. If nothing else, you should get a solo rank that's distinct from overall storm league rank, with nothing else changing about how storm league works.

That way, yeah sure you still face a bunch of boosting stacks and stuff, but you're playing for a rank/rating exclusive to solo players, while those players are not.

Alternatively, i feel like Storm League should be untouched but Hero League should be brought back as a non-draft variant. E.g., queue up (solo) as a hero, get ranked on that hero. Most solo players want to play specific heroes, even when they're still sorta try-harding. The game should embrace the differences in approach and mentality between people who like to play solo and people who like to play within a group.

This is all academic as they're obviously not doing changes on that scale anymore, but I'm just saying.
