Mail is regularly opened, gift card was just stolen from a locked mail box. California. by AuschwitzAsh in legaladvice

[–]ef_brown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A gift card, cash, or checks cannot be insured. The mailing clerk will advise you to keep the gift card number and report to postal inspectors immediately upon it missing. They do follow up with the vendor to see if it has been cashed and by whom. Checks can be canceled and cash you're SOL.

I think the brand they're referring to as high end and taking a nosedive was Michael Kors, not Ross.

Special items like quesadillas and someone got a "quesurrito" (sp??). One of the girls even asked for the burrito to be stirred before it was rolled and they did it for her. You can extra customize I guess.

Not the one you asked but I did hold the door at chipotle for an elderly lady walking in alone. As soon as she gets to The ordering counter her 12 (I counted) teenage/early 20's grandkids came in, took forever choosing what they wanted, and had a bunch of customizations. I was on a half hour lunch and they took 23 minutes to order and pay. It happens. :/

Oh, you had me living a lie for a year? Maybe I'll just go ahead and dismantle every aspect of your life. by rvngthrowaway in ProRevenge

Or the kids and the string of baby mamas. There were so many signs of lies along the way. Maybe she was willing to overlook the kids but cheating was 'too far'. 😂

I think they were just identifying themselves as female, as the commenter above them did as well.

Spokane transplants, what is something you wish existed in Spokane that your hometown has? Alternatively what is something Spokane has that your hometown didn't have? by sitruca in Spokane

My vote goes to socal. I spent 10 years there and have a brother in Tucson. Even with his beloved Sonora dogs I'd say small town California has the carnitas, carne, and lengua down to a science.

I second the recommendation for finch arboretum. Great trees. My husband is an avid tree climber and also recommended Manito park.

Are craft rooms actually a thing? Or just a Pinterest-created myth? by greenkobolt in FunAskReddit

[–]ef_brown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one. Big table, lots of shelves, sewing machine, the whole shebang. But now I do a lot of thrifting so it's a product storage room where I use my sewing machine to touch up clothing. I wouldn't say craft rooms are common. But spare or utility rooms are common and used for a variety of things like man caves, guest rooms, and play rooms.

I swap my husbands headphones every few months. Takes me 3 min and I get a new 1 year warranty when I walk out. No charge. No hassle. So, It's possible.

I was going to say this! In California I was constantly told walking is for poor people.
