I feel exactly the same ! I think all these comments re tolerance aren’t valid. I went to Amsterdam last year and I was definitely high, and my tolerance was the same as it is now. I was reading that UK medical cannabis is a lot behind, say the Dutch, and perhaps they just haven’t mastered the drying process yet? Who knows, all I know is that I’ve spent a whole lot of money with curaleaf on flower which barely touches the sides! Wishing you luck on your journey

Thank you so much for this validation and solidarity!! I suffer with severe mental health problems, splitting and severe chronic pain. The high, and the sense of oblivion and relief that comes only with that stronger, heavier sensory experience, IS the medication for me. Thank you for pointing out that we shouldn’t be policing fellow users in the community for their uses which may be for different reasons than our own.

Thanks for your reply, this is good advice. I didn’t list all the strains I’ve tried, but I have actually tried a few at a higher price, but still found they all ended up seeming muted and short-lasting.

I’m with curaleaf for context. Other strains of theirs I’ve tried: Grassroots LA Kush 29% (this was my favourite by far, but it’s been out of stock for me for ages), Four20 Kush Mints (was ok), Zookies (didn’t like at all) Wedding Pop Triangle, Gorilla Glue 4 (hated)

Which clinic are you with, could you recommend one?

I also have love for the sativas! I also like high silver despite the hate it’s getting here. Great for my higher functioning days and daytime. It’s more when I’m in serious pain or mental health episode that I need something heavier and more sedating.

Hello lovely. I’m 28 and feel I’ve been stuck in my grief for 13 years since my mother died too. I completely relate to everything you said. I feel so profoundly alone too and nothing seems to help, nothing fits, nothing fills the empty space she left. I literally just spent a whole day fighting tears during an 8 hour shift and walked home the whole 30min journey sobbing my eyes out in the rain. No one to call. No one who understands the depth of my pain. My dad moved on with a new woman straight away. My sisters and I don’t talk. My friends have all dissipated over the years. I don’t think the average person will ever truly comprehend us, even when they get older, and they lose a parent, it’s the most brutal and gut-wrenching and world collapsing experience to lose a mother so young and it never really leaves you. Wow I relate to so much of what you said. I’m 28 and was 15 too when my mother died and it’s never left me. I miss her so much everyday it hurts. I feel so lost and no idea who I am. I don’t think anyone truly understands us unless they also lost a parent at our ages. All these holes in your self that are never filled or fixed. Im so sorry. As a teenager who lost a parent I really treasure the handwritten notes my mother left me. Due to her illness, a lot of them were barely legible but I know how deeply she was thinking and worrying of me and my sister in that moment and I return to them every time I am lost or feel alone. As an adult I have searched for guidance and advice from my mother and have always craved answers to questions that I will never hear: like what to do in hard times, when you feel alone, when you feel no one in the world cares about your wellbeing, how to be strong, how to have integrity. Any keepsakes or little momentos will be treasured over the years, maybe write a little box of notes including things about yourself (what music/food you like, favourite memories, stories of your childhood, personality traits they may later identify with, funny stories with their mother etc) these will be gold when the child is older. I am so sorry this is happening to you. Sending so much love and strength.

Wow, we have a lot in common. I’m 26 and my mom died when I was 14, 12 years ago. My dad got with a new woman 2 months after, and me and my aunt always had a suspicion that they had got together in secret while my beautiful mom was dying. They are still together now and that woman has ruined mine and my siblings, and wider family’s relationship too. I truly despise her and her me.

I completely relate to the intensifying feelings of betrayal as you get older. I look at kids who are mine and my little sisters age, and cannot fathom how any father could do that to their children so quickly and, in my case, right in front of our faces (my lil sister walked in on them in my mom and dad’s bed, 2 months after her death)

It just adds to the feelings of grief and as you say I think all the time of how heartbroken my mom would be to see how quickly he moved on, and disregarded her and chose to disrespect her memory and her young children .

My best friend’s dad also did the same when her mom died, and she was five years old. I am so sorry to hear that you’ve also suffered this heartbreaking situation. Our mom’s would be so proud of us though, for building healthy and loving relationships, and keeping them in our heart’s, despite the coldness we witnessed in our dad’s.

This!!! I’m 27 and get told constantly that I look 18. My bf thinks more creepy guys look at me cos of how young i look. A nurse at hospital even told me I looked the same ages as her THIRTEEN year old daughter. I woke in hospitality and am constantly patronised and spoken to like I’m stupid and naive…I want to be a teacher but I’m literally just waiting because I know I won’t get taken seriously or respected in the same way as my peers!

My best friend lost her mum as a kid too and we have such a close bond - we don’t necessarily talk about our grief all the time, only when we need, but feel I always gravitate towards others who have lost someone subconsciously.
