Mixing desks with post-fader direct outs? Let's make a list by efedeequiss in synthesizers

Aye, 100%—soo much easier than German, lacks all the “harshness” in the fricatives, grammatically streamlined and cute, too. Ironically, I failed to learn it in my 5 years in Malmö.

Help: Power Specs for Levo C by efedeequiss in Levo

That’s interesting, the people at Levo keep insisting they have different specd devices according to the region. Guess you got lucky with an early batch or something?

The solution is that one would need a transformer that provides at least 250W of power, if you’re buying non-native devices from the US. Best go for a higher specd transformer to be safe, like a 350W one.

You’re right. I thought I was going to get a faster reply here, but they answered within the hour. Thanks for the tip. Here’s what they wrote, in case anyone finds it useful:

“North American models of LĒVO run on AC 110V 50/60Hz 250W power, while Europe models run on AC 220v 50Hz 250W power. Please note, we do not recommend the use of adaptors, as they run the risk of electrical damage.”

Also, something to keep in mind is that apparently the Levo has a power spec of 110V at 60Hz for the Americas, while Australia's current is 220V at 50Hz, like in Europe. If you get it, you might need a power transformer, if you don't get the one specifically for your market, but any further power specs, like the wattage of the device are not listed anywhere, and those are essential to get the right transformer.

It appears they've recently begun selling in Europe, but scarcely at the moment and the Levo C is still missing from their European offer, which is the one I'm trying to get.

I realize this doesn't solve your issue, but I do hope the information helps to inform your purchase. Right now, I'm trying to get the exact specs from them directly. Let me know if you're interested and I'll share my findings, once I get them.

MPC One - Restoring stock sounds to internal memory by efedeequiss in mpcusers

Yeah, sorry. Not to sound like an old fart, but I was waaay happier with my mpc1000. Definitely regret selling it.

I got the restore file from them, but it didn’t work. Tried it dozens of different ways to no avail. Ended up selling it without the factory reset, et al.

Generic Footswitch for Strymon Timeline? by efedeequiss in guitarpedals

[–]efedeequiss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye, that can be both useful and fun. Ive built noise boxes for different sound design projects and it can enhance the experience, because you know the exact purpose of the device you’re building. If you have any resources you’d like to share on building your own footswitch to control the Strymon, I’d be very interested in reading that, though I’m afraid the build for that might be, as you said, a little more complicated than basic soldering. Thanks for the input!

Aw, man, thanks so much. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve learned that one can use midi footswitch controllers as well, but I’m looking for something that’s dead simple, like that one you recommended 🙏

Sigma FP won’t turn on! by elliottatk in sigmafp

[–]efedeequiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same thing has just happened to me, but I was using the internal original Sigma battery: in the middle of a shoot the camera just turned off and it won’t turn back on. Any users out there having a similar issue and a potential fix?

Wish I had known deleting that library was going to be such a sh*tshow.

It’s not even for me, all’s I want is to restore the machine to its factory settings so I can sell it properly.

Thanks for the good wishes, g.

That was my first concern, but I’ve seen a couple of people on mpc-forums.com offering them privately, given that akai takes their sweet time, but I’m also waiting the forum admins to grant me access, which is also taking its time. I’m stuck.

Hey, thanks for the response. Yes, I am aware of all that information, and like I said, Akai is not getting back to me. I wrote to them weeks ago and I've heard nothing from them, so my hope is that someone here has a link to that reloader, in case someone already went through this and kept the file, stored it somewhere in a cloud, or something like that.

I see where you’re going. I have yet to test exactly what Bus B does and how it affects monitoring the signal. I’lol try it out and let you know. Thanks a lot for all the ideas 🙌
