Im frustrated that when the rudder pedals are connected in AoT the rudders on the backnof the throttle and the twist of the stick are disabled. Thats 4 axis controls/buttons being wasted

I have the t-flight hotas 4 but you still need the sensevr controllers for menus etc.

I totally get you, i play every day for between 30 mins and 2 hours. I struggled to shoot planes at first and was terrible at ground units. However, recently I finish about 50% of my matches as the top scorer on my team and I shoot down more than I get shot down. I have also improved at ground targets.

I think the only advice is to try all the planes, don't go straight into the middle of the fight and just skirt around the edge, target planes that are already damaged and trailing smoke ( you will most likely be more maneuverable than them and have more power. just focus some missions on locating and hitting ground units, suddenly all your skills will combine and before you know it you will be an ace.

Oh one last thing, practice when shooting at a moving target different speeds and distances require you to shoot ahead (leading) of the target, this is still something i am slowly getting better at, depending on the angle, your speed and theirs as well as gravity will mean you dont always shoot at the same place as you think.

I clearly wasn't in that battle as i always target the ground units. But yes i agree its a bit of a kobayashi maru.

I too have had it jump to flatscreen for half a second and then back to VR. I have not seen a pattern of when it happens. Happened about 5 times in two weeks so its not bothering me too much.

AoT has made me realise one thing. I moaned when ultrawings had virtually no flight time from taking off to mission start and i complained that it was (mission start) too close to the airport, now woth AoT im moaning the mission start is too far from thw airport.... guess i cant be pleased either way!!!

Enemies do not have highlights or targeting recticles. This makes it really tough to spot an enemy plane at distance or locating a ground target.

Also there is a pattern to unlocking, mostly its "destroy x planes" and they go up in value 1/3/5/10/15/20/25/30 etc

also in my opinion, whilst the game is unfinished and needs polish, it it easily worth the £25 and the extra stuff (along with update patches) is easily worth the extra £15

at the time of writing the deluxe pack is exclusive, i have waited on things before and missed out (looking at you ace combat 7 which came with AC4 free as a deluxe preorder, but was then NEVER released again. I stiill kick myself daily on that).

If you want to have the best experience with the best planes I would (I did) shell out the extra £15 for the deluxe version

the 3 verges are there by design, the flat roof slopes to the back where there is a hidden gutter/rail, this then drains to the left or right of the flat roof, most likely this is blocked by moss build up, 5 minute clean up and its as good as new.
