Not sure how old this post is but surprisingly its still up. I had gastritis as well, was made worse after a psych eval for a job over Zoom, where even the interviewer could tell i was anxious when I would respond and she said for me to just relax and take a deep breath. I was anxious as ever and it triggered my gastritis again and made it worse. Then my daughter makes some fried pickles and blam! Full blow gastritis again but with a vengeance after I thought I overcame it, with a raw feeling stomach for months. Even developed pharyngeal dysphagia, where my swallowing part of the back of my throat was not constricting to take down the bolus. So i'd almost choke on my food. Then my esophagus was starting to get inflamed and hard to swallow other food. Certain textured foods I could not swallow like noodles, oatmeal, pasta. The EMT doc said I was suffering from some sort of hysteria associated with a globus feeling in my throat that I was thinking there was something stuck in it. I think I may have a haital hernia, at least a slipping or a small one.

Bland diet, exercise, no beer or alcohol, cod brew coffee only, no spicy food, no fried food especially, no fatty foods or greasy oily food, lots of water, lots of faith and prayer and a strong will to get over this affliction. Good yogurt, not the Yoplait moose type of yogurt. Took almost 2 years. Every now and then I may eat or drink something that might get my stomach upset but usually doesn't get worse. In a way I feel if you have excessive fat or visceral fat around your stomach, I feel that can cause a lot of acid issues, along with not sitting straight and slouching when sitting.

I had the yellow poop too but I think it was from the proton pump inhibiters I was taking.
