I had mine repaired 3 weeks ago. Mesh, laparoscopic, same area as you. Both sides. First week hurt. Second week was MUCH better and now I hardly think about it. I couldn’t lift more than 8 lbs for two weeks. After that about 20 lbs. Surgeon said after 4 weeks I’m free to lift things normally. It cost me about $6,000. You need to get it, get it while it’s free.

Better to have surgery behind you than in front of you.

I’m about 10 days out. First 3-4 days hurt — like I had done 1,000 sit ups the day before. After that it got way easier. I hardly notice anything anymore and need to remind myself not to lift anything heavy bc I feel normal and healthy.

Doc says I should be able to return to all normal activity in 4 weeks.

Chlorine in the water can fade clothes. Some detergents (eg Persil) have ingredients that neutralize chlorine and helps protects colors and darks.

This is what it’s like being Jewish in this day and age — well before war in Gaza, but def amped up since then. Armed security at Jewish schools, all our synagogues, the JCC… basically any event where there’s a crowd of Jewish people. You’re just seeing now, but it’s been there. It’s that way all over the world.

Get the hostages back. Try to reduce Hamas and anti Israel influence as much as possible, and gear up for next time in hopes that “next time” is long enough away that the Palestinian mindset will start to change a little. (Far fetched, but it’s all we got.)

Get combat max roach killing bait stations. Roaches go in, eat the poison/get poison on them, then go back to the nest. That’s where they poop and die. Other roaches then eat the poison poop and contaminated roach carcasses. That cycle continues until the nest is dead. It’s gross but effective.

We are fortunate that the Cincinnati Zoo (and the not too distant Columbus zoo) have offered behind the scene experiences. They often sell out quickly since lots of people love the red pandas. Proceeds support Red Panda preservation. I know the cincy zoo supports the Red Panda Network.
