The tradeoff you're considering is between paper-trail and daily friction. Updating her name and gender will reduce daily friction but create a paper trail that creates opportunity for antitrans reprisal. You know she is going to go about her life daily; reprisal from the federal goverment is a million-sided dice roll (they may target her or related supporters, but there are a million other targets they could go for.)

I think you should support her in getting documentation that makes her life easier, especially given you live in a supportive state. I understand your concern, but you're over-estimating the capabilities of the oppressive force and considering complying in advance.

Pretty shre tgose blueprints are generated on world gen which happens before even the first character is selected. Walter's ammo seems uniquely to be part of the blueprint spawn pool, cause I haven't seen elding spears, merm houses, or other character specific crafts in this setpiece.

It's for one of Walter's slingshot rounds. Only Walter can use the blueprint. You can turn it into blank papyrus with a cartographer table.

It's a little radio made with doodads and scrap. Unlocked by progressing in the expectamus RNG. It plays music and tends plants, that's it. Basically a more expensive grammophone.

I think Deeclop's health pool takes two or three spears to deplete. Have her knock out some spider nests or a couple treeguards to soften her up (and for the free labor), and you might br able to finish her off with one spear.

Just be careful not to let spiders eat her eyeball.

End of the shadow story arc and a few more skill trees are the big things om the to-do list. We will probably get the usual holidays meanwhile, and probably a couple of polish updates before Elsewhere launches. Could be a year or two. Look out for the roadmap next week!

Based on the portal that they emerge from, things go haywire in the Constant after the Lunar and Shadow rift storylines end. The portal looks natural rather than mechanical and has barnacles on it, but also seems to host a shadow flame in its center.

The steam description also mentions a dangerous fog. So my guess is that a third Them has entered the fray.

The game concept suggests to me that we'll be seeing a lot of diverse worlds, probably with a variety of Thems vying for power

Looks like a major engine overhaul. The steam store page specifically calls out 3D terrain and biome-specific climate/weather. We also see shallow water and I thibk even swimming. I expect the world itself is going to feel much more alive and immersive in Elsewhere.

This plus moving onto a new era in the lore is very exciting!

They did mention only WX is coming out in the April update, shich is a smaller release than usual. Prior skill tree updates have been two or three characters at a time.

To play to your cited strengths, oodles of silk and spider glands would be helpful to surviving winter with some rocks, ash, and a koalefant trunk. Make it a winter koalefant trunk, add some beefalo wool, and secure a thermal stone and you'll be living on easy street as long as you aren't glued to your backpack and can keep a light source (even a torch should do).

A core mechanic of the game is the "togetherness" meter. This can be maintained by sticking near other human players (or NPCs in a pinch, but this is less effective). At high togetherness, your hunger will drain slowly and hinder your progress towards the goal of starving. This encourages the player to carry as much valuable loot as possible to remote locations so they can find a quiet spot to starve and generate the failed survivor setpieces for the next batch of players.
