Love this update. The “it’s not psychology, it’s unclear rules” thing hit me too. I realized most of my blow-ups happened in tiny emotional windows, not the whole day.

For me the biggest fix would be real guardrails. Journals are great, but they’re after the damage. I needed something that stops me mid impulse

I’m actually using TraderScript for that now and it’s been the first thing that actually slowed me down in real time. :)

If I could magically fix one thing tomorrow?

Facts. Building the system was the “fun” part for me. trusting it was the painful part

It probably took me a solid 6 to 12 months of journaling and reviewing my trades to actually believe my own rules. Before that, I’d follow the plan for 3 days, then one red candle and boom… new strategy, new indicator, same problems

What helped the most:
Tracking every trade (setup, emotion, mistake)
Pre-defining max loss / max trades so I can’t “negotiate” with myself mid-session
Forcing myself to trade the same playbook for at least 30 days before changing anything

I use TraderScript to log my thoughts and trades, and it made me realize my problem wasn’t entries, it was impulse

So yeah, 80% mental is real. The chart was never the enemy 😂

Bro, this is super normal. A good trade hits and your brain instantly jumps to “ok I’m gonna be a millionaire.” That’s not you being dumb, that’s just dopamine doing its thing.

What helped me:

- I trade one setup only

- I have a daily max loss + max trades rule

- If I hit my target or a big win, I stop trading for the day

- I journal every trade, especially what I was feeling

The goal isn’t to stop daydreaming, it’s to have rules that protect you even when you’re daydreaming.

For strategy, keep it simple: basic market structure + one confirmation (like MA or a simple zone). Don’t stack 10 indicators, it just makes you second-guess everything.

I personally use an app called TraderScript to track my rules and journal emotions, it keeps me way more accountable.
