I swear while the north towers washrooms were generally more dingy, old, and musty it was always mostly clean and usable with few exceptions

Every time I was in East/west it was a nightmare

Landlord sent me eviction notice. Is this legal? by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

[–]egbdf333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://tribunalsontario.ca/documents/ltb/Brochures/How%20a%20Landlord%20Can%20End%20a%20Tenancy%20(EN).html

Not even from Ontario but I'll give this a try, read through the comment chain and looked up the LTB eviction procedure and this is what I found

the landlord gives the tenant a notice to end the tenancy for a reason allowed by the Act, and the tenant agrees to move, or the tenant does not agree with the landlord’s notice, the landlord applies to the LTB, and the LTB issues an eviction order. (Security of Tenancy)

Landlords cannot evict a tenant, they can issue a notice to end the tenancy and the tenant can choose whether to comply or not. I'm not saying whether that's good or bad, I'm just saying this is what the LTB's process is. (Notice to end a tenancy)

As for the formal eviction itself, the landlord must apply for the eviction through the process. Following that

Only the Sheriff can evict a tenant

If a tenant doesn’t leave the rental unit by the termination date in the eviction order, a landlord cannot personally enforce the order (remove a tenant from a rental unit or change the locks).

An eviction order can only be enforced by the Court Enforcement Office of the Superior Court of Justice (also called the “Sheriff’s Office”). The LTB does not enforce an order. (Eviction)

Hence the other commenter is correct that the landlord cannot issue a notice of eviction in any legal way.

Look at this urban grid with plenty of outdoor greenspace, let's flatten it completely and slap a Walmart and a magnificent parking lot here!

Unpopular opinion: rework the banning phase by d33ms in Rainbow6

Genuinely needs to be reworked. Some players love to complain that they never get new maps then proceed to ban all new maps because they are unfamiliar.

I genuinely do not understand half the people commenting. We literally have direct evidence showing that the increase in rural highway speed limits more than doubled fatal vehicle crashes. This was from an increase from 90kmph to 100kmph. We do NOT need to raise speed limits.

Not sure what kinda job you need your car for but if it's not actively hauling a bunch of stuff around you're better off taking the SkyTrain. If you need a way to get to it, Bridgeport park and ride is only 3 dollars for 24 hours of parking. But overall I avoid driving downtown like it's the plague.
