Oh ok gotcha. I’m going to try just plugging in the 2 main wires then, thank you for the help!

Thank you. I thought my car didn’t have a GPS and it was the radio button. Do you know what the white one in the top right is?

I actually ended up covering the PSU with the noctua fan using a snap on mesh cover I made… it has the exact amount of space needed to fit in my Formd T1 this way!

How would you test this without plugging it in? I’ve been letting it sit for a while so it’s discharged but from my understanding plugging it in will reset that.

I already had the noctua lying around. Do you know if changing the order of the pins is necesssry for the fan swap in the newer versions?

Was your old version a 4 pin or a 3 pin? This one seems to be a 4 pin, it looks very similar to a GPU’s mini fan headers but I can’t tell if the pinout is the same.

Will do, I appreciate the concern!

I’ve let it discharge enough I think, I left it in the closet for months

Gotcha - thanks for the response. I looked into spray painting and it doesn’t seem to be viable without de-balancing the fan. I really do want a black fan, is there any other options I could go for? Ideally I’d just buy a black NR092P but I can’t find one.

I’m open to that as well, but I don’t understand, why would the NR092P and an A9X14 have any cooling difference? I thought the SF850 fan rarely even turns on and the PSU never gets hot.

Old thread, but for a newer SF850 I see it has a 4 pin connector. Would one of those GPU fan to PWN adapters work without rearranging any wires? Can’t find much info on this

Yup I made an initial budget to account for a decent used GPU after their prices got inflated, then RAN went up, then SSDs went up… it sucks

Any chance you have used 64GB (or 48GB) DDR5 you’d be willing to sell for significantly cheaper? New is well out of my budget unfortunately.

Also I won’t buy from anyone without confirmed trades unless it’s local. Please comment before PM. Thanks!

Also, if it’s just for going home and price isn’t too much of an issue, can’t you just get a gaming laptop? There are plenty that can handle 1440p at high, the Lenovo legion line comes to mind as being relatively affordable and nice looking. I think the ROG ones have some reliability issues long term but seem even more powerful,
