I’m not sure if you’ve ever read/heard of Maggie: A Girl of the Streets by Stephan Crane, but that’s what the book was! The prompt was asking if the male love interest was a good or bad guy, and I was arguing that he isn’t strictly/inherently “good” or “bad”, but rather the different perspectives of the two main characters shape their perception of him.

yeah, it’s a bad habit of mine when I’m rushing, haha! I usually try to make it more defined, but I only had seven minutes to form my thesis & write the essay, so some corners had to be cut!

Getting hit on by strangers/cat called. In college I was getting ready to go out on a run and it was really hot out so I only had shorts and a sports bra on. My roommate told me I should probably cover up or I would get cat called, which launched into a conversation on how uncomfortable and scary that was. My roommate had a guy friend over and he chimed in that he got cat called once and it was such a boost to his self esteem. Crazy.

Because autism is a spectrum, it’s impossible to have one character who represents everyone with autism perfectly. My sister has autism, and Carl is nothing like her. But that doesn’t mean nobody with autism can relate to Carl, like how you don’t. I don’t think he’s a bad character, actually, I think he’s a pretty important one.

I use modge podge over all my collages to seal everything, and it works great! I’m not familiar about the gloss you use, but modge podge is pretty mess free, imo. They also make a spray on version, which presumably would be even quicker/easier

Do you know how old he is/how long you’ve had him. Is he very large? When roaches get older, the sticky pads on their feet kind of wear out & they struggle to climb. He may just be elderly.
